    Pros

    - The team of people is really the best part about working here
    - Nice office space and great location in DC
    - Casual environment, frequent Friday happy hours

    Cons

    - Company morale was pretty low. High turnover rate.
    - Although I did not work directly with the CEO very much, it was clear from others who did that it was not easy at times.

I worked at Greenfield Belser full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Greenfield/Belser is a great place to work and mostly, learn. I learned everything I know from my time there. The small agency atmosphere ensures that you will get a very hands-on, front-line view of how the agency business works. Everyone is involved in everything, and that's what makes the small but powerful company able to uphold its reputation for so many years. Prepare to learn a lot and contribute to the overall future of the company. If you're willing to learn and willing to get involved, there is no better place to build a strong foundation and gain a deep understanding of the marketing agency atmosphere/workflow processes.

    Cons

A small but powerful agency comes with a very lean workforce. Work can be overwhelming at times, so you can expect some long nights. But, that is something that is standard in the industry. Small companies don't suit everyone; some will not like the intimate setting, the social groups, or the culture that comes with everyone knowing everyone.

    Advice to Management

Transparency is key. Value and recognition is important for employee morale.

    No upward mobility.
Pizza and beer in place of a healthy salary and job security.
    A High turn-over rate.
More interested in projecting a image that living up to the image.
A clique-ish work culture perpetrated by sycophants.

    Advice to Management

    There is no upward mobility

I have been working at Greenfield Belser full-time

    Pros

Greenfield Belser cares about their employees and their culture. They work hard to make sure that the best people are hired and it is a group of very talented people who like working together. It is fun to come to work.

    Cons

It is a small company so it can be hard to find the next step up.

    Advice to Management

More mentoring - you won't be around forever!

I worked at Greenfield Belser full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Continuous advancement. Time after time I saw employees promoted from within. When I started working there I was just a Senior Developer. After a year and a half I was promoted to Tech Lead. Management allowed me to really stretch my wings and try new things. Friday Lunches are what I miss most. Learning from others and being able to share and mentor others. It was here that I discovered my love for public speaking and working directly with clients while still maintaining my role as a developer.

    Cons

One of the misconceptions is that management does not listen, however it was stated multiple times that management has an open door policy. I believe that should be stressed more. Most employees hear that and think to themselves "yeah right". From personal experience I know that you can literally walk right into the CFO, VP or President's office at a moment notice and share your ideas, thoughts and concerns.

    Advice to Management

Mix up the culture a little more, one of the things I never was able to achieve was the idea that designers should sit with developers to help expand the knowledge share.

I worked at Greenfield Belser full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people make it a fun place.

    Cons

Extremely high turn over...even for an agency. The work isn't exciting because you're building the same website (with a new design) over and over. Hard work doesn't get noticed and I'm not sure I saw anyone get a promotion.

    Advice to Management

Empower your staff. CEO needs to learn how to avoid temper tantrums. I saw too many people cry at that place.
