Great concept, great pitch offering very beneficial products and service.
Where do I start...... They may pay you. They may install the stuff you sell as long as they can get the panels/equipment. They dont like to pay their bills so the vendors obviously stop product delivery until they get paid. Meanwhile, you are forced to doing a dance for the customer telling them its their town or Twp's fault for not issueing a permit in a timely matter or another excuse your told to say. Then when the customer pays up after the job is completed and your supposed to be paid your commission your forced to play a game with mgmt and accounting to get paid. They say they arent paid yet, you say and know they have been and the game goes on and on until they finally have the money or run out of excuses and decide to pay you. This company will also push the sales team to sell "maintenance contracts" for equipment that doesnt need it and has manufacturer warranties or 3rd party lease agreements that include performance warranties that make a maintenance contract by the installer nothing more than a scam. Lucky this co is in business 3 months from now let alone 3 yrs from now that the service contract is supposedly valid for.
Advice to Management
Dont try to grow so fast. Stop giving people titles and adding more layers of confusion. Let your Mgmt actually manage and listen to them. Stop changing your tune and plan every 5/6 weeks and blaming it on an "evolving market" when its you thats the one failing. Invest in quality people, pay them on time, pay their expenses ON TIME and be patient and you'll start to see solid referral business come through because "at the end of the day" Happy employees = happy customers resulting in a successful company.
Cool technology, growing industry,many products
No clear company vision. May management mistakes
