    Pros

I worked at Greenstone Financial Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pitch for the job, the guys running the place are excellent sales people and lovely people until you disagree with them or point out logical errors in reasoning (which ostensibly as an actuary is your job).

    Cons

Yes-man culture. This is a company with a slick sales culture that did not appreciate realistic assessment of some of their key modelling metrics by a number of new employees who actually knew what they were talking about. Great salespeople, but clearly minimal experience actually building and using models for anything other than selling businesses.

    Advice to Management

Likely that all management that would take advice have been sacked by now!

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Greenstone Financial Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Activities outside of work. Social committee.
    Gym.
Friendly people you meet over shot term.
Everyone seems to bring something to eat to share.

    Cons

Rude customers you deal with constantly. Not everyone wants insurance.
Not a central location. Not much to do during lunch. Located in an industrial centre in Bella Vista.
High staff turn over. In my first 6 months. 50 % of my team got sack for not meeting targets or being rude to customers.

    Advice to Management

Don't over promise in earning over 100k a year by sitting down at a desk. Only very few have achieved this in a team of over 60.

I have been working at Greenstone Financial Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Weekly free lunch
    Onsite parking
    Team members

    Cons

Management unwilling to move the company to the next level
    Roles paying below market
Three times advised externally hiring staff only to see internal promotions to roles - mate club for sure

    Advice to Management

Pick up your game, stop investing in outdated approaches, particularly in the technology landscape

    Pros

Quite well structured. People seems to care about each other. Work hard is recognised and awarded for. Plenty of employee benefits are available.

    Cons

Processes are not fully in place however we all are working towards a better process to follow and improve on

    Advice to Management

A recreation room would be nice. Somewhere you can wind down when stressful occasion arises or during breaks

"Former Sales Manager - do not fall for their "benefits" this place is toxic."

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

There really wasn't any. Other than the free I site parking.

    Cons

Micromanagement and the approach to coaching frontline employees. I don't agree with a dictatorship model or autocratic management. When challenged the status quo, I was bullied amd not supported by senior management. In fact they lied when I left to make themselves look not so bad.

    Advice to Management

So lucky I didn't have a workers comp case. If I was bothered I would have as I nearly broke down.

Your people make you. Give them the liberty to do so.

I worked at Greenstone Financial Services full-time

    Pros

I liked the people in my team, but it wasn't enough to make me stay.

    Cons

Management is TOXIC here, bullies are everywhere and completely control this company. As an underling you will be scapegoated and managed by fear. There is this facade of "team spirit" but when it comes to the crunch you will be thrown under the bus in a heartbeat.

    Advice to Management

Executive management need to come up with a business plan & then stick to it. Every quarter there were major changes to strategy and direction. T
