I have been working at Greenville College (Less than a year)

    Pros

You take away what you put in at this position. If you are a problem solver this is where you work on campus. Also great opportunities for full time work over the summer where you earn more and are responsible for more things.

    Cons

A lot of back stabbing at times. Posting on websites negative comments aren't beneficial to your peers that you work with. Emphasis on peers. If you have issues, speak with the people around you and come to their level. If you are a student worker, you are student worker, not the head of IT. That's above your pay grade.

    Advice to Management

Great environment, great people. They execute all necessary needs for the college and hire students they see fit to also execute those needs. They need to make aware to certain student workers, they are student workers. No matter how skilled they may be at other things, they do not run the place.

    Pros

It is very straightforward work, with a lot of resources to utilize. It is a learn as you go type of environment so you get on the job experience.

    Cons

It is annoying that people I work with are getting paid to sit there and do nothing. People not doing their job is one of my pet peeves.

    Advice to Management

I love how chill the management is, but they need to fire people that don't even show up to work.

I have been working at Greenville College part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The workplace is ideal for college students because it offers flexible hours that work around your course work, you can request time off easily and suddenly, the people in charge are knowledgeable, and it offers the work experience you will need to have a real job upon graduation.

    Cons

Most of the workers at this position are very unmotivated. The lack of motivation can sometimes be bothersome and on several occasions information was not conveyed properly from higher ups to the student workers.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better, enforce rules, only hire technical people and business people
