Pros
Free-reign Beginner-friendly Fun Diverse Progressive management Extremely flexible schedule Affordable company health insurance
Cons
Lax management Buy your own tools Lower-than-average pay for mechanics

Pros
They don't overwork you too much and lunch can be up to 45mins a day. They have very set in stone schedules so you won't be moved around too much and you can negotiate days off.
Cons
They require you to bring your own tools to work, the tools available for everyone are low quality, they aren't very focused on quality, and they do not accept suggestions or requests to improve the workplace either for the staff or for the company as a whole.

Pros
You'll get to spend plenty of time talking about bikes and helping others buy the right bike for them.
Cons
Low pay, bad management, no advancement opportunities, no raises, terrible "benefits", no PTO.

Pros
None really. I guess working with bikes is fun, but this is one of the most toxic places I’ve ever set foot in.
Cons
-low pay -toxic, fraternity-style atmosphere -not welcoming if you’re different at all -frantic with a healthy healing helping of politics mixed in. -at least $10,000 in rent per month is paid out for the greenlake location year round instead of even coming close to paying a living wage. I’ll leave it to you to figure out who owns the building and why that’s atrocious.. -the political culture makes it so your complaints or concerns will only get you reprimanded with no back up. Good luck. -I was bullied and manipulated by members of the staff going all the way up the ladder. Not the nature welcoming environment that the marketing will have you believe.

Pros
Chill bicycle mechanic job with minimal stresses. Company culture is awesome and you can expect to go on many bike rides with peers.
Cons
Still a job at the end of the day.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Great facility and coworkers, good resources, great products
Cons
I just felt that the management could do more for employees born differently. I was literally denied the opportunity for a raise when it came up for this reason: I was given a reasonable accommodation as suggested by my doctor and he said that disqualified me from any raises.

Pros
Good work/life balance, discounts, attitude, ride really cool bicycles
Cons
Low pay, medium/low benefits, health insurance for family is expensive

Pros
Low commitment workplace, turnaround is quick.
Cons
Feels a little bit soul-less. Managers seem burned out which is a shame because they are good people.

Pros
Staff is passionate about cycling, and very supportive of each other. Very active community and lifestyle, lots of great riders and racers, but lots of new riders too--everybody is welcome. Great deals on bikes and bike parts, and you will learn a lot about bikes!
Cons
Established company, has been around for a while, so management doesn't seem to want to "rock the boat" and risk any big changes. Pay is standard for retail, which is still relatively low ($15/hr to start)

Pros
The best bike shop I have worked at bar none. Co-workers were incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, and you are able to work on the latest technology
Cons
Have to own your own tools
