I have been working at GreySpark full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Well run, fast growing company that has offered me interesting project work. Good support from peers and management when required.

    Cons

Perhaps needs to be explained more clearly that this a 'roll your sleeves up' type company which is not for everyone. You may be asked to be involved in a variety of projects as well as showing initiative to help develop the business. In saying that, in my experience, it seems to be the case that if you are willing to do the above you will succeed with this firm.

Thanks for your comments - we have since changed the interview process so this is more clearly explained at the start. The projects we have are typically fast paced and with firm deadlines which means high involvement and at all levels. Our recent focus on formalising training in ...

I have been working at GreySpark full-time

    Pros

I would not usually post reviews but I wanted to post this one as I believe the previous bad reviews about GreySpark need to be weighted properly. There are some elements of truth in what was said but it is far to be any real issues. In reality the company isn't perfect (which one is?) but by far one of the best I've seen yet. pros: - great people - great talent - ideal for anyone to learn more about consulting/capital...

    Cons

Like I said there are some elements of truth on what was said: - there is a little gap between what the company say to future employees and the reality, but the gap is minimal and often due to market conditions. - maybe a little lack of support from management when on client site

I worked at GreySpark full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Small growing company. Very strong and credible CEO who is a definite leader in the field. If you work closely or directly under the CEO, then you have a lot of value that can be gained from him. London-based Partners are quite competent and are genuinely good people.

    Cons

Micromanagement. Partner who manages every dollar as if it comes out from under his bed. Partner who is extremely scripted and is unable to think independently, or think on his feet. Partner who is very insecure - he is a good person, but is definitely out of his depth. Need to stop hiring experienced professionals if they are going to totally disregard their previous experience. Local management that is totally...

    I worked at GreySpark full-time

    Pros

Potential to work for top Investment Banks in the City (or just apply directly to these Banks). Office is in a great location - Heart of the City. Work with nice people

    Cons

High staff turnover, this is solely because employees are misled from the initial interview process right through to service of employment. Clients are also misled on projects in regards to consultants background/experience. This is unfortunately not a company to work for if you would like to forge a career, work with the best, network within the industry, or develop your skills in your particular domain. As for development...

    Advice to Management

Have the integrity and professionalism to be honest with employees/clients from day-one, treat all fairly and guide them while they and your firm grow from within. Have a strict business model and formally stick with it. Invest in better software applications for all employees, this will only benefit them and yourself with client offerings. I wish the company the best of luck!

    September 8, 2015CEO

GreySpark's core pillar is integrity. We make every effort to paint a picture of the company's vision and direction through a four-stage interview process, where multiple opportunities are given for candidates to ask about our firm, where it is today, and where it is aiming to be ...
