Pros
Great company - get to work with exceptional people. The main focus of the company is to deliver excellent service and high quality products to clients. If you want to take a more challenging role out of your comfort zone then this is for you. Great opportunity to learn and grow as you'll have a chance to wear many hats.
Cons
Love this company can't think of anything negative. It provides great benefits, stocked kitchen with all kinds of healthy foods. It's a family friendly company and everyone treat each other with respect.

Pros
Very positive and great experience.
Cons
Wanted something new for myself.

Pros
The people who work here - management and principle developers excluded - are great! Everyone is friendly and gets along well.
Cons
Management is horrible. The company is run like a family business. The CEO walks around the small office space talking very loudly on his cell phone, and a lot of these calls aren't even business related, such as calls to his family. Very unprofessional. It is very frustrating and very difficult to work in the loud environment. Also, if you are a developer, be prepared to use outdated technology - I'm talking working on projects involving SP 2007! Most of the code is unmanageable and extremely disorganized. Greystone also values billable hours, so you are "encouraged" to have as many billable hours as possible. If you are okay with making some sketchy ethical choices to make greystone money, then more power to you. Greystone managers push for code that gets the job done - so "patches" and bad conventions are okay. If you are considering working here, I would highly advise looking elsewhere. Management is oblivious to the problems of the company. It, overall, is just a dreary place to work.

Great place for the right person
Jan 29, 2016 - Principal Consultant in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company is focused on providing quality solutions to clients. Emphasis is on delivering value rather than making a profit. There is a good culture in terms of integrity. Collaborative environment. Good work life balance. The work is interesting and challenging and varied. Because this is a small company, people can be involved in all stages of projects. Most people work in multiple technologies, which for the right person is interesting and challenging. You can’t fall into a comfort zone of doing the same thing every day, but at the same time, you are never in a rut.
Cons
This work probably isn't for everyone; you need to be able to shift gears between multiple projects and technologies, and balance work on current projects with staying current on the technology.

Pros
- Leadership cares about employees as people. - Delivery Team is composed of top notch "smart people" - Company has a solid reputation for delivering quality solutions and making "work life" better for its clients. - Competitive pay and benefits - Leadership supports work-life balance for employees - Leadership treats employees with kindness and professionalism - Again, "smart people"! - Lots of knowledge available for anyone willing to dig in & learn - Terrific opportunity to gain credible experience with current technologies in the Metro Boston market. - Leadership has always gone above and beyond to "do the right thing" for employees, relative to time and compensation matters, and should be commended for the support, caring, and flexibility shown to all employees in these areas.
Cons
-Leadership did not follow through on announced company plans / initiatives (i.e. growth plans, employee share ownership, service offering definition, messaging, & marketing). -Leadership all too often a 'bottleneck' in the Company's ability to move tasks & initiatives forward. Could do with far less micromanagement. -Lack of defined project management processes -Lack of Employee Performance Management processes. -Leadership not open to ideas / suggestions from employees. As a result, several employees formed a perception that ideas & work weren't valued, and left the Company. It's very difficult to maintain one's self esteem when you don't feel valued and you don't see a successful path forward. - Inconsistent candidate interview process. Several candidates participated in telephone and/or in-person interviews and received zero feedback from the Company, despite repeated follow up. - If you're considering joining, research the Company, speak with current and former employees, and be sure to ask the "difficult" questions during the interview process. You can enjoy a great deal of success at Greystone, if it's truly the right fit for both parties.

Great place to work
Jan 20, 2016 - Principal Consultant in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You work with very smart people. All are friendly and willing to help you find the right solution to your problems. Getting chance to work with the news technology on various projects Excellent location and benefits.
Cons
This is a good company . I really can't think of any reason to not work for this company. The only thing I can think about would be to have more big - long term projects.

Great place to work, only wish it was bigger
Jan 2, 2011 - in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Leadership. Peter and Bob do a great job in good times and bad
Cons
Small company. If it was bigger and there was more opportunity for advancement, I'd likely still be there today.

Pros
There aren't any - and be aware that the "good" reviews here are most likely fabricated. I was asked (pressured really) to provide a review on Glassdoor on my first day of work!
Cons
The company is 100% chaos. Everyday is one CF after another. The only review on Glassdoor that has any ring of truth is the "follow up" review. I'm guessing that individual wanted to amend after working for Greystone for more than a day.

Pros
- Great leadership - Great coworkers - Lots of learning oppurtunities
Cons
- Need to bring on more sales - As with most consulting positions, choice of projects can sometimes be limiting.
