I have been working at Grimco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Grimco has a great, young work force; you'll love the people you work with. More, it has a very relaxed office environment.

    Cons

There aren't a lot of routes for upward advancement; substantial pay raises are basically non existent. You wear many hats besides being just a sales rep. The company is still trying to find its footing; high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Strong communication with solid policies need to be put into place; have more resources available so employees can focus on the main aspects of their job; pay people what they deserve so they will stay. Also, more PTO and sick days are a MUST.

I have been working at Grimco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Higher ups are very welcoming and always there when you need them.

    Cons

Lots of micromanaging. No coaching when there is an issue, they will just replace you. Lots of forced over time.

    Advice to Management

Update to a bar code and scanning system for inventory and shipping out orders.

    I worked at Grimco full-time

    Pros

Loads of overtime whether wanted or not.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations with little no no help and pay wasn't near worth the work put in. Sales making promises to customers and expecting Warehouse to make good on promises. Severely understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the people doing the labor. Hold sales accountable for pulling their own weight and not expecting others to do it for them.

I have been working at Grimco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This is a good company to join out of college. You get great experience and training. The company is very focused on product knowledge, after all you can't sell products if you don't know what you're selling. So training is very comprehensive. You spend a week in the corporate office and receive personalized training on product and customer relations. There's a great sense of community within the organization, and it...

    Cons

You don't get many PTO/Sick Days. Pay isn't competitive, especially compared to costs of living. Work/Life balance suffers a bit since you're at work 8-5 (9hours with an hour lunch) and if you're commuting from far then you're spending 11-12 hours away from home

I have been working at Grimco full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Established company. Great training. Great sales experience. Supportive coworkers. Decent benefits.

      Cons

Not much flexibility here. Don't expect to come and go as you please, leave early on Friday or work from home as with most sales jobs. Very strict PTO policy. Nature of the job can be very demanding/stressful. If you like structure you'll love it here; if you don't you'll feel micromanaged.

      Advice to Management

Trust and listen to your sales people to do the right thing and they will. Focusing too hard on so many different metrics will cause people to spend more time stressing over getting the right numbers on the screen- that might not be 100% real- rather than going after better business and providing the best customer service we can.
