    Pros

I came to Grimco with very little experience and they were willing to work with me and train me to be comfortable working with customers. I come to work everyday because I love the people I work with and I feel like I am contributing to the larger picture. I'm really lucky to have found a place where they will give you the tools to be successful with realistic expectations and goals where I can hold myself accountable and work with my manager to layout my own progression.

    Cons

Haven't had a bad day yet!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive reinforcement and continue casual Fridays!

I worked at Grimco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good experience to jump start career out of college. Grimco is known for hiring young, competitive employees. Coworkers are usually young and fun to be around.
Growing company, aggressive growth strategy, excellent execution. Strong operations management, efficient , and process controls. CEO is likeable and invests time and resources in his employees.

    Cons

--High turnover is part of the employment strategy. They will make you a workhorse and then let you go. Young people are the oil to the Grimco engine, and you'll be discarded as soon as an oil change is needed.
--Burnout is extremely common, and management doesn't care. They will hire young people who don't know any better and grind them until they break.
--If a corporate culture including work-life balance is important to you, look elsewhere.
Compensation is poor. Lookup the salary stats in comparison to baseline. Micromanagement is common. Expectations are often unreasonable and workloads are not sustainable.

    Advice to Management

People's lives and careers matter. You hire young, impressionable graduates and squeeze out as much of their eagerness to succeed as you can, powering forward on the energy of the youth. You give them experience but little mentor ship or development. How do you think your approach impacts young people psychologically? Your management is culpable for the development of the people that you hire. Kudos for running a successful business. Don't forget who got you there--I promise you that they won't.

I have been working at Grimco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with! I have a Manger and a Regional manager that listen to me and understand my questions, comments, and concerns.

    Cons

I think that the one thing that sticks out the most is our delivery service could be much improved. They need to have a more structured crew.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that the company provide the warehouse employees some uniforms so that they do not mess up their own clothes.
