    Pros

    - The office staff truly cares about client outcomes and making a good work environment for caregivers - Opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives - Pay is always on time and direct deposit is offered - Pay is competitive - The owners are in this business for the right reasons and care about their employees and clients - Generally good communication - Recruitment and referral bonuses - Clean and...

    Cons

    - The office looks a little shabby - Depending on client needs it can sometimes be hard to get the perfect schedule - To date benefits have been very limited but the company is working on a much better benefit program to release in early 2019 - Training has been limited but the company is setting up several training options the should be available mid 2018

I worked at Griswold Home Care

    Pros

Not many...some caregivers were great to work with...most were not.

    Cons

Office run incompetently. Not state compliant, not griswold compliant either. Under capitalized and pay to both caregivers and office staff was either late or non existent. Griswold needs to reign in crazy, lazy owners.

    Advice to Management

Work more efficiently. Stop complaining about staff behind their backs.

I have been working at Griswold Home Care

      Pros

The office staff is always on their toes to find additional jobs for their employees. They pay in a very timely fashion. They follow up on all requests.

      Cons

Sometimes there are not enough jobs coming in for the amount of employees they hire. I really cannot think of any other cons.

I worked at Griswold Home Care

      Pros

Great experience working with clients. Rewarding experience being able to provide care to clients to help them remain in their own home. You are an independent contractor in charge of paying your own taxes do usually clients pay you directly by check after you have completed a job.

      Cons

The State needs to look into this agency. Office staff shows no regard for concerns that a caregiver may have with a client and their family. They give you very little support if a conflict should arise. Office staff does not inform you very well on the clients condition and what duties the family expects of the caregiver before sending...

      Advice to Management

Be clear to clients on what your caregivers are allowed to do and NOT allowed to do. Do not allow clients and their family to take advantage your dedicated hard working of caregivers. Your caregivers are independent contractors so their safety and we'll being should be a concern to you since they don't get any benefits if the get injured, or sick from working with a client.

I worked at Griswold Home Care full-time

      Pros

Working with the clients was a joy most of the time. They were great to work with and really added a great deal to my life. Most of their families were great to work with, also. I really enjoyed hearing about their lives and helping them to remain independent for as long as possible. The work, overall, is very rewarding.

      Cons

The office staff is horrendous, and it only got worse as they added more office workers. Many mistakes were made when it came to covering shifts and it almost seemed like they were all on different pages. I heard many complaints from clients, and their families, that caregivers would show up late or not at all, and they never felt they could rely on continuous, quality care....

      Advice to Management

I would hire some quality office people who are able to work together in a cohesive way because the way things have been going to this point, your businesses will go under…just from word of mouth alone. I, personally, was embarrassed many time that my name was associated with your company because clients and their families would regale me with story after horror story regarding the care, or lack thereof, as well as some...
