I worked at Grosvenor Casinos full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Offer training and some opportunity for progression. Friendly place to work, good team and a fun job generally. Good place to start but people often move on elsewhere. Customers can be very friendly and sociable.

    Cons

Upper management don't seek any advice/feedback from floor team. Customers can be difficult sometimes, but the biggest problem is low wages, day time pay for night shifts in a semi-skilled job, working under pressure is very poor.

    Advice to Management

Listen to feedback from staff, from them and customers, instead of just requesting customer feedback directly. Use the information to boost business.

I have been working at Grosvenor Casinos full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

24 Hour business - so all shifts are available to work. Training in any other department is usually available. A lot of locations to pick or transfer to. Usually not too boring to work at.

    Cons

Shifts can be all over the place, not the best work / life balance. The pay isn't great for the degree of skill and difficulty the job sometimes demands. Customer aggression is normal unfortunately , due to the nature of the business. Managers don't always seem to care or know what they are doing. Staff morale can be low at times.

    Advice to Management

Improve staff morale to help increase productivity and improve the customer experience.

I have been working at Grosvenor Casinos full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun, interesting, opportunity to develop skills, friendly team/management, some flexibility with hours, free training and opportunities to work in other areas of the business.

    Cons

Awful pay for nights, overtime (1.5x) only after 48hrs, high pressure, unbalanced shifts, expected to work 8hr turnarounds between shifts, non-unionised and staff actively told that unions will not be recognised despite the London branches having union membership.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay for night hours, pay overtime after 40hrs, to listen valuable feedback from staff.

I have been working at Grosvenor Casinos full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The elegance of dealing is brilliant. Fun and fast paced. Half price or sometimes free food, taxi fares halved. Very supportive staff and management Big opportunity to working overseas. Lots of breaks. (Sometimes however you can be on a table up to 3-4hours depending on the busy scale).

    Cons

Premium down Would be better to get paid a little higher for the role we have to do. Especially watching for money laundering and unsociable. (however it's understandable that them hours come with the job so I can see a point). Mentally draining.

    Advice to Management

A little pay rise would be nice and perfect considering the hours being done. (Over 40) Would be nice to get a few celebs over in the casino brings amazing features.
