I have been working at Grosvenor Casinos full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very friendly team. Managers are always approachable and supportive. Lots of career opportunities and development programmes to support this. Pay is also better than the local competitor!

    Cons

The only down side is that you do have to work some evenings and weekends. However, working different shifts does give you lots of flexibility and helps with childcare and shopping etc.

    Pros

Nice colleagues, good environment, secure job (always recruiting)

    Cons

No staff meal, low pay, night shifts (for those not used to), you might struggle to balance work and private life if not well organized

    Advice to Management

Prize your staff more, take less

I have been working at Grosvenor Casinos full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team is allright but due to the unsociable work hours, we become this small wierd lifeless family who just can't keep their hands off of eachothers buisness and want to stick their noses in everyones bedrooms which is understandable knowing that most of these people have no other life than the casino.

    Cons

Would not recomend to work here. Horrible hours, bad pay. Extremely unprofessional management at work and outside it. You work 10 hour shifts on your feet with horrible customers and you're expected to smile and cater to the addicts and criminals that come in there.

    Advice to Management

Get your acts together. It seems like management are just stitting by the computers, watching tv on the screens most of the shift while lesser employees slave away, dealing with rude customers, serving and dealing away. Would love to get a bonus as a thank you for our hard work after we get "best casino of the year" not an akward party.

    Pros

Really good team of people - hard working but fun. Great management team. Committed group of people looking to make a good company even better.

    Cons

Some more career opportunities would be great for those that want them, and ask for them, in order to retain good staff.

I worked at Grosvenor Casinos full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great team, supportive management team.
Training provided for role as I moved from one department to another and had to learn to use the in house computer system which I never needed to use before.

    Cons

There was just no balance between personal life and work life. In the end it felt like I lived at work and when I was at home I was preparing to go back to work. And for the amount of money we got paid, it just wasn't worth it.

    Advice to Management

A little pay rise would be great because the work we did really should have been paid more for.
