I worked at Group 1 Automotive full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay.. Thats about it.. Oh yeah and Saturdays who will work and have a pizza...

    Cons

BEWARE!!! They work you to death at the dealership and don't give a rat about you.. You are nothing but a body to sell and make the company money.. BEWARE.. You wlil be signing a EMPLOYEE AT WILL disclosure which means that they can lay you off from ANY REASON or NO REASON at all.. This is what happen to me after almost 2 years they said that they have to part ways and didnt give me a clear reason why.... My recommendation is to stay far away from this company as the upper management gets richer at your expense! On top of that you are screwing every customer who walks in that door!! Very Toxic environment!!!

I worked at Group 1 Automotive full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None really, they want you to work hourly for an imaginary bonus that you probably wont get at the end of the month.

    Cons

They design their CDC policy around strictly taking your bonus away at every angle possible. We work for the dealership but the lazy sales people we support and drive business for get to keep all their money? You can literally be at your desk and if you forgot to log into Shoretel....Baaammmmm. 1 full strike out of 3 for the entire month. Makes no sense at all to punish someone who was clocked in via payroll but a min behind logging into a software program? You have been warned no matter how nice the building is someone in the corporate location or this location is plotting for ways to screw you over.

I worked at Group 1 Automotive full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits. Good pitch at 1st meeting.

    Cons

Typical Corp run dealership. There is constant change. It's all about the stock price. Eventually all dealerships will be corp owned. The employees are just a number.

I worked at Group 1 Automotive

    Pros

The employees working at the dealership level were always friendly and professional to work with.

    Cons

Group 1 took over and changed all aspects of the company. The employees at the dealership level were no longer important it was really about the larger corporation and making the most amount of profit from the little guys!

I have been working at Group 1 Automotive

    Pros

If you don't meet your draw it does not go negative the next month.

    Cons

Long hours in order to make commission. This particular dealership has had many problems in the past with management. Hope the new manager will make some needed changes
