    Pros

The company has a friendly environment where you can advance to other career paths if you work hard and produce results

    Cons

Location in Milan Illinois can be a challenge, and company needs additional clients in other industries so there's not such heavy dependence on a few clients

    Advice to Management

Needs to diversify and land new business

I have been working at Group O full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of training offered to all employees
    Great leadership development program
Good benefits package for this size of company
Opportunities to grow are offered based on demonstrated success in current role and/or previous experience - it's not always about a degree or the title

    Cons

None that I can think of

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with all levels of employees about successes, failures, and goals throughout all of Group O, not just the division I work in.
Help employees to understand why they are doing what you ask them to do. It's not important to some, but it's very important to others, and will go a long way toward building morale and employees taking ownership of the work.

I have been working at Group O full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

One of the pros of Group O is that business is ever-changing with clients' needs, which makes work exciting. New technology allows us to expand our service offerings to our clients. Client requests constantly kick start innovative thinking among our teams. Our CEO and executive management embrace new types of services/products that Group O hasn't managed before and lets the employees run with ideas on how to implement those products/services at Group O.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be hard to manage during extremely busy periods of time, especially in smaller departments.

I worked at Group O full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The only pro is the friendliness of the everyday workers, the "doers".

    Cons

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company changed so much from when I first started working there and not in a good way. Uneducated Senior Management that wouldn't survive 1 minute at any other company. Half of leadership went to high school together and have formed a click/club and all they worry about is taking care of and protecting one another. Terrible pay, no room for advancement, and leadership intentionally holds you down/back unless you are a part of their click. Consistently lie to clients including how the backend financials of the business truly work/operate. If you take a stand for yourself you will be shown the door. The culture within the company is you do your job, work and travel whatever hours they ask you to, and don't say a word because you will be ousted.

    Advice to Management

None because management is the problem and they don't listen. In order for this company to turn things around it would need to come from the CEO, but unfortunately since the company is making money that is the only thing that matters.

I worked at Group O full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

From my experience working at Group O the most positive aspect of the company is their ability to mask the dysfunction throughout the hiring process. Once you're hired, you're exposed to a very broken, sad place.

    Cons

Horrible culture - back biting, trust issues, lack of execution, deep organizational and operational misalignment, abysmal morale and a "keep your head down and don't look up or you're next" mentality. I feel sorry for the people who still work there.

    Advice to Management

Focus on doing the right thing. Stop pretending to be the 'oh so wonderful' company and fix the culture. Build trust, honesty, integrity into the company's way of life.
