    Cons

New to North America. Not so great benefits. Lots of French Influence

    Advice to Management

Make it an american company. Not a french company that works in USA.

    Pros

Complete honesty there is no pro's to this job at all. reasonable remuneration packages for expats .work balance good for only french expatriates employees.

    Cons

Cheap HR Management .Employees pay rate is determined by their ethnic background/birthplace and not skills or performance. There is no HR rules for company as they said.rules are flexible for individuals.

    Advice to Management

Read the companies published values.keep the company international stranded.

I worked at Groupe Bouygues full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a 35h/week full-time job. I was placed by a hiring agency. My salary was high, and I was lucky to have a very nice boss who was also extremely competent and professional, I just was impressed by her knowledge.

    Cons

Typical macho environment where men does not want to accept that female bosses can do better then its male counterparts. Constant jokes and remarques about the clothing or anything that does not fit to "male construction fashion standards". The IT department does an absurd practice of disconnecting the company's server in the middle of the day for maintenance. Similar size corporations do the same during night hours, but in France the unions fight against night shifts and weekend shifts, so the IT department can not fix server problems only working hours and so blocking the work of hundreds of engineering and managing departments. Welcome to France. The departments does not communicate, majority of staff are too young, inexperienced freshly graduated from school is hired to supervise constructions. They are very loud and are behaving extremely childish, this is very unprofessional for me who is a foreigner and have worked around the world and saw similar sized companies doing similar businesses but much more efficient because of the employees has a way of professionalism, grown-up self-conduct, and sense of responsibility.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately, management are afraid to be firm, fearing scandals from the unions and also fearing for their personal security so they close their eyes and let loud but incompetent people run the show. That sentence has an advisory purpose hidden in it.

I have been working at Groupe Bouygues full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Technically, you will learn a lot.
Engineers are good and well trained.
Real opportunities to work hard and to project everywhere in the world.

    Cons

[For Engineers Only] The money. You won't earn much.
Long hours (70-80+) for no additional compensation.
If you're "young", the top management will not listen to your opinion.
    Also, don't expect fast promotion.
Advancement is NOT based on merit.
Advancement is based on age only (plus you have to be French & graduated from 'Polytechnique' or 'HEC' to expect a good career).

    Advice to Management

    - Consider employees & pay them correctly.
    - Stop being arrogant. French Top Management think they know better. But they are not capable of solving real local issues when they occur.
    - Support technical people. All the good ones have no support and leave the company as competitors offers them salary up to $40k+ higher.
    - Stop selling a 'bright future' and focus on a decent present.

    Pros

    I got paid on time

    Cons

The Australian entity is primarily a labor supply company for Lend Lease. No benefits, no package, no career opportunity and all management and supervision done by Lend Lease.

Overall, pretty disappointing place to work
