I have been working at Grundfos full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

World's largest Pump Manufacturer. Remote/Home Office based. Actively looking to expand their vast Market Footprints. Good solid inside Engineering and Technical Support. Customer Driven and Focused.

    Cons

With certain large companies; come the every 4-5 year complete restructuring of the North America Region. Grundfos is no different, and depending on who is steering the Ship, the changes can be quick and drastic.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management; upon entry into the North America Region, I would recommend before major changes are made, that you determine end results prior to quick gains.

I worked at Grundfos full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    good benefits, good entry-level pay

    Cons

Massive turnover suddenly from top to bottom in a 6 month period. Now they are struggling with the lost knowledge that was not recorded anywhere.

    Advice to Management

When the executives, high level managers, and key personnel start jumping ship, it's a bad sign. New management should track and address the source causes, not juggle symptom-fixes.

    Pros

Great work environment. People are real nice and management is approachable. Great reputation for high quality products.

    Cons

Too many jobs going to Mexico. Too long for permanent status 3-5 years. Company relies heavily on temporary services then complains about the cost.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your staff.

    Pros

Very progressive with practices, IT and generally great culture. I enjoyed working there.

I worked at Grundfos (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Incompetence can get you pretty far so long as you get chummy with the right people, this leads to a lot of incompetent people at the top, at least locally

    Cons

There is no tolerance for trying to make improvements and increase efficiency. Management is focused too much on short-term profits rather than quality products and longevity.

I worked at Grundfos (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement, education, open-door policy, team environment, very good pay and benefits

    Cons

Recent years have seen much needed change, but change of any type is difficult and there was very little input from stakeholders on the changes made. There has been a big shift in the overall culture of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Opportunities for improvement:
listening skills, professionallism, less personal bias, and a clear understanding of what management changes can cause for those doing the job.

Grundfos is an excellent company to work for, great leadership, wonderful work environment. I really enjoyed my time there.

    Cons

Very political where key decisions are made and focus was not what was best for the company, but what was good for their friends.

    Advice to Management

Not so much religious clicks in the Senior Mgt. Staff

Please put more focus on the North American market when developing new products in Denmark. Find out what customers really want on a newer product.
