I worked at Grupo Antolin North America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were outgoing and willing to teach one another. Everyone fought towards the same cause. True team mindset.

    Cons

Upper management allowed the element of greed and selfishness, to overshadow all other underlying issues and concerns within the facility.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are your top asset. Without them, no product leaves the facility. Listen to them.

    Pros

Sometimes, it's fast paced work. Management is fair. Complaints are solved quickly. Some helpful, nice employees work there. Clean bathrooms.

    Cons

Employee harassment of temporary workers is out of control. High stress level when line leader stares you down all day, while others are goofing off, not doing their jobs. Production is unattainable every day. The put a part on, take a part off concept is lost to them, to achieve production. Parts get fractured, because the mold is open way too long. Dirty place, no outside cleaning to do the floors. Employees are asked to work to "clean". High turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Random drug testing. A no tolerance harassment policy would eliminate the employees from harassing temporary workers, instead they get two write ups before they are fired. They then continue to harass. Hire outside of the company for line leaders, who know how to problem solve, instead of threaten to work the weekend.

I worked at Grupo Antolin North America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good health care benefits. If you choose the buy up option there are no deductibles. Reasonable copays. Definitely not worth it for health care alone.

    Cons

The belief by the Spanish leadership is that Americans are lazy and useless because they need to blame others for their own failures. Many suffer from Napoleon syndrome. They are just stepping on everyone to promote their own careers. Bad decisions on who they put in certain positions. Certain positions can expect to work and travel non stop. Turnover of key positions has been higher than industry norms. General feeling of employees is run as fast as you can. Everyone that has left is happier, more successful and appreciated in their new positions. Customers are annoyed with the company.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate your executives and management team. Do you really have the right people in the right positions?

I worked at Grupo Antolin North America (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits, you will be expected to work 7 days/ week.

    Cons

Multiple systems with bad data. No problem solving only finger pointing. Expect to work 7 days/ week. Culture is toxic. Peers require 12 hour days, 6-7 days per week, no end in sight.

    Advice to Management

Start with doing basic business practices.

    -Strong intern program

I have been working at Grupo Antolin North America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent and most of the people here are nice and helpful. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere, and this is definitely not New York.

    Cons

Work/life balance? Not here. They expect you to work weekends and holidays with no negotiations, even if you already have approved time off. Your personal time is meaningless.

    Advice to Management

You need to understand that not everyone wants to spend their entire life at the plant. Work to live, not live to work. There are more important things in life than car parts.
