I worked at Guaranty Bancorp as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    not many to list, flexibility

    Cons

Liars, certain managers will say and do anything to make you happy but at the end of the day you are nothing to them.
no direction, forget getting feedback regarding next steps or anything that might have to do with your work
you are also not included with already set teams even if you are suppose to be on that team.
proposed merger with northern bank is actually used to let certain people go and close branches..
    big lack of integrity

    Advice to Management

be honest with your employees about their futures and the plans you have for them

    Pros

Immediate team of peers are solid, dedicated individuals. Direct manager is flexible, compassionate and very skilled. Bank holidays off. Decent FTO policy.

    Cons

Little or no recognition outside of sales roles. Upper management is emotionally immature and technically illiterate. Wages significantly lower than industry average. Many, many promises broken by execs. Due to drastic understaffing, work every weekend without additional compensation in order to stay on top of crucial tasks. Benefits are expensive and provide poor health coverage.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the contributions and dedication of staff members, reward them appropriately. Increase pay bankwide. Take some basic computer classes.
