I worked at Guardsmark full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Fairly easy work. Not much else.

    Cons

Management that doesn't back up their employees, low pay, high turnover, menial benefits, pretty much a dead end job.

    Advice to Management

Quit going to the graveyard to find employees. You need more then dead bodies and mindless twits with huge egos to the job.

    Pros

Easy work and co-workers. Plenty of opportunity for overtime.

    Cons

Bad pay and hours can be a pain. No room for advancement would only recommend to those who are retired or students.

I worked at Guardsmark full-time for more than a year

    Pros

for drilling sites it was easy work decent pay for type of work gave many chances for mishaps.

    Cons

secretive (supervisors kept important information about layoffs to themselves, and also important info to make them look good to higher management/the client) didnt buy appropriate uniforms to save for their year-end bonuses raises were not given as written in handbook other benefits not given as stated in handbook the position given was a joke when came to dealing with contract holder if they had disagreement.

    Advice to Management

If you are a security firm; be just that. When you pick up a contract you should complete the demands of the contract but be aware that you have been in the business for many years and just because the client doesnt like the way it goes at certain times dont back down. you should know how to do things better. It also makes your guards look weak and have no type of authority when dealing with the contract holder when...
