I have been working at Guess? full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There isn't a lot! But the other side of it is that it's a huge Company with high expectations. Work load can get from(on a scale of 1 to 10) 8 to 9 mostly if you don't have a good working force. And that's retail. Guess is an international brand. People from all over the world shop at guess, and that's why it's a lifestyle brand. but as its core, it has its own issues. And there are many from marketing to Corporate culture, from business ethics to employee recognitions. And also no Work Life Balance, That's really important. Despite all that, the growth opportunity is exponential. Guess? divides its business into five reportable segments: Europe, America's retail, Asia, Americas Wholesale, and Licensing, It also splits the GUESS? into GUESS, GUESS Kids, GUESS by MARCIANO and FACTORY. Guess and its licensees and distributors operate in 97 countries worldwide. It directly operates roughly 870 retail stores in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The Company's licensees and distributors operated roughly 770 additional retail stores worldwide. So the cash flow is there.

    Cons

less payroll affects the value of the brand. No capital Investments. Execution lags every time.

    Advice to Management

"Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things." PD

I worked at Guess? part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a store discount and it provides you with difficult work experience.

    Cons

Terrible leadership. Managers have no idea what they are doing or what corporate wants them to do. They are constantly changing out managers. The managers do not know how to separate personal conversation from professional conversation. The scheduling is unpredictable. The managers constantly undermined each other. No one respected the store or the brand in general.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to run your stores without severe conflict between associates, management, and corporate.
