    Pros

    1%commission
    Sales and shrink bonus

    Cons

    Very little support
They expect you to work 6-7 days a week during holiday

    Advice to Management

    More support to store management.
Management shouldn't have to work more than 45 hours a week
Vacation shouldn't be so difficult to get

    Cons

the pay doesn't compensate and they dont approve many raises. (as in the District Manager)

    Advice to Management

salary raises are needed as employee spends time there worked there two years and got offered ASM position and not once was there a raise when I asked for it.

I have been working at Guess? full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great Team Members
    Nice Cafeteria

    Cons

    Disconect between upper Management
    No clear direction
Strict attendance policy - feels like you're in elementary school. If you're not in your seat at 8:00 - you get in trouble. Must take breaks only on scheduled break times. If you're caught taking a break outside of scheduled break times... you get in trouble. If you don't walk quickly enough to your desk... you get in trouble.
Management doesn't trust employees to work from home
No bonuses or raises in over two years
    Out of touch owner

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees like real people with real ideas. The company overall is so out of touch and needs new direction, but upper management does nothing to try and change their ways. The owner will run this comapny into the ground unless they get rid of him or he becomes more open-minded and realizes that maybe his ideas aren't the best ideas. As far as the new CEO, he just seems like a small fish in Paul Marciano's pond.

I worked at Guess? full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

work can be easy, can earn bonuses, company contests, employee discount of clothing, bonus weekends with higher discount, customer service is fun

    Cons

hours change weekly, management was bad, its a summer job for a lot off students so turn over rate is bad always training, pay is bad, no benefits unless full time. no raises, bonuses only for people who worked at least 15 hours every week that month which for smaller stores you wont get that many hours.

    Advice to Management

look at whats going on at your stores. there is obviously something wrong if you have more than 5 people quit within a month.

I worked at Guess? full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved working with my team at the store but unfortunately there is no room for growth despite what they tell you during the interview. I had to move on.

    Cons

To much work for one person with not enough pay. Cut hours every week!

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your employees need. Give credit to where credit is due! And stop acting like kids if you don't have it your way.
