      Pros

      The environment is fast paced and the employee discount is awesome, since you do have to wear Guess every shift.

      Cons

      Management does not understand if you have medical conditions.

      The culture was great, all the employees were friends. Great employee discount.

      Pros

      Great co-workers, good discounts, pick availability, great job for people with no experience, Good music while working. Starting pay was $7.50 back in 2006 which was pretty good for someone's first job having no work experience. The discount is 40% off of full priced items, and 20% off of sale items but usually sale items have a promotion such as 50% off of the sale price and there is no employee discount on those items when promotions are occuring. Most of the managers are really nice and are willing to work with your availability after you get hired. You don't have to wear Guess clothes which is also a plus.

      Cons

      Must make individual sales goals even though there is no commision, a few of the managers were a bit ridiculous. When the store is empty it can actually be a little boring if just one sales associate and one manager are working. While it's not that hard to make sales goals, it can be at times and if you're not meeting your goals, you don't get put on the schedule. If the store makes a certain target goal for the month and if you work at least 20 hours a week, you get a $50 gift card. However, that rarely happens. Although a few of the managers were ridiculous(such as yelling at employees in front of customers, having unreasonable requirements, etc.) this wasn't a reflection of Guess and were only a few individuals. Most of the managers were all really nice and great to work with.

      Pros

      40% employee discount. Great managers and co-workers. Pretty cute clothes,purses,shoes,sandals etc. Every once in a while employees get 50% discount in all the regular clothes. I love working here all the time nice environment! Nice club music and loud (costumers hardly hear us when we greet them.LOL!) We have walkie -talkie to communicate.Which is so cool! The SALES section is already 50% but you get additional 50% off.Really cheap!

      Cons

      -Associates schedule is base on how much we sell in a day,weeks and in a month. -Associates are very competitive and steal your costumer even though they've seen you that you are helping that person.They don't even care or bother to ask who help her/him first,but because they just want the sell for themselves. -A lot of costumers don't even need our help because they got it or they are just browsing around..Sometimes they just leave because it kinda annoys them that we follow them all the time and ask them the "Are you finding everything okay!" Again and again! -At the cash register.The cashier will ask the costumer,"Did anybody helped you today?" and if she said, she did/he did then the sale goes to your sell credit.(we have to tell them our name so that they will know who helped costumers).Overall if you want to work here and get hired just provide great costumer service and have fun with it.=)

      Pros

      They hire great talent and have awesome team environments. Although turnover is high, you meet great people every few months. They offer great vacation/holiday/sick days with a 401k. They also provide an employee discount of 40-50% off.

      Cons

      The company hasn't been growing which means no bonuses or promotions. It is not a motivating environment when you are not compensated for your worth, yet you see the company spending money left and right on other areas. The retail industry is struggling and there is no game plan to avoid becoming the next company to close its doors. If company stability and having a career path is your goal, I do not recommend working here. It is very easy to get by and do the very minimum, and not be an over achiever as long as you show up on time and always agree with your boss. Having a voice is not something old management encourages (Paul) but the good news is that the new management (CEO) highly values it. The old management can't seem to let go of power which is why this company will only continue to diminish.
