I have been working at Guild Mortgage full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

401k, great health care, work remotely, travel, responsible salary, yearly events for award winners, branch refresh, great professionals working hard to make Guild number one

    Cons

not being heard, happiness for non- top producers isn't a concern, one person can only handle so much, not focused on all employees just top producers

I worked at Guild Mortgage full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Good compensation -Good office flexibility -Smart co-workers -Good visibility

    Cons

-Minimum strategic input/impact if you're over a region outside of the CA HQ area. There are better opportunities for people in that location, more involvement in the real corporate regional strategy. -Incredibly slow turnaround on any graphics/promotional items - anything outside of standard templates takes forever to get, and the Loan Officers....well they want custom stuff constantly ...so you get to be their punching bag as the person who tells them they can't have exactly what they want, every day. -You have to conduct regional training on a regular basis for incoming loan officers, you have to stand up and present and answer questions. - Loan officers disagree with corporate guidelines and don't listen to anything you say, and even if you do try to support them they're probably using a whole slew of unapproved tools that give them better results than the approved ones...because the approval process is slow, very...very slow. -You will always be too slow to properly service your regional branches if you follow corporate directives
