    Pros

The leadership team is supportive, always working to show appreciation for staff, and provide encouragement.

    Cons

The demands can be a bit hectic and some things are done last minute, but hard work is always appreciated.

    Pros

Amazing fellow Team RN's. Fantastic manager

    Cons

"Back up" On Call requirements becoming increasingly demanding and difficult for Team RN's that work Monday to Friday. It is to the point the you work your normal shift as a Team RN from 8 am to 5 pm, and then weekday nights you are "back up" on call expect to be out anywhere from four to ten hours after working all day. You are then expected to get up the next morning and work your normal 8 am to 5 pm after being out all night as "back up" on call. Full time, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm employees are often pressured into picking up extra primary on call shifts due to staffing issues.

Promotions aren't usually a good thing

    Pros

Flexible schedule (field staff) Worthwhile cause Fair pay Usually good benefits Amazing experience

    Cons

On call shifts Can be hard to maintain work/life balance for field staff due to care/documentation requirements Repeatedly reminded Nursing/physicians matter most of all, other disciplines and support staff treated as second class workers. Promotions often precursor to being fired Senior Management more worried about bottom line and "expanding to become...," not patients and definitely not staff Lack of staff retention (toxic environment) Extreme and repeated changes in caseloads due to forever being short staffed ( going from 35/40 to 80/90+ overnight) Senior Management asks for feedback, but often ignores it.

Great benefits and culture of employee appreciation

    Pros

The leadership/executive team does a great job to show employees that they are appreciated, not only during the holiday season, but throughout the year. The benefits are great, and the majority of the employees are easy to get along with and always willing to help. I have always had great experience with the executive team. The CEO's door is always open and she is always willing to help and offer guidance.

    Cons

The task of working in hospice can be daunting, but not all positions involve direct patient care.
