    Pros

Guru's leadership are incredible, they set expectations and then step out of the way to allow their staff to develop solutions. The environment is great, young ethos while still respecting family obligations, and performance/career development opportunities are great.

    Cons

Administration, typical of medium and small business, but this is changing due to recent hires.

I worked at Guru full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, flexible team and schedule. Trainer comes weekly for an hour workout session (but beware, there is no shower). Occasional work from home is okay.

    Cons

Poor communication in the office. Everyone uses Skype even when they sit close. Micro management. Outsource to overseas company so schedule of development is off.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication within the office and define roles to new employees. Stop micro managing.

    passion for purpose-driven projects
    renegades in digital media

    Cons

while the clients are big business it is stil a startup company which is undergoing growing pains meaning there is a lot of work and too few people, but only because there is so much new business coming in. This will all change soon; it's a good problem

    Advice to Management

    more appraisal for completed tasks

    Pros

As an IT consulting firm and managed service provider, the breadth and depth of the technologies and industries worked with by individual engineers is hard to match. The company culture is friendly, with few political issues and fairly laid-back management. Exposure to new technologies and varied environments is a launch pad for any career, and there are career advancements and growth opportunities within the organization.

    Cons

Smaller company, salaries are the average for the area.

    Advice to Management

Continue to train PC/Network Technicians and fill the gap between engineeriing levels.
