    Pros

    Häfele is a great company to work for. They pay their employees well and have a great work life balance. The employees are good people and a joy to work with everyday.

    Cons

    I have a 35 minute drive to work, but it is worth the drive.

    Pros

    Some good people, mostly coworkers

    Cons

    Management is passive aggressive, disorganized with very little interdepartmental communication, promoting people into supervisory positions that should not be overseeing other employees because they barely do their job well and do not socialize. They also use tracking software to see if an employee leaves their desk (you're allowed two ten minute breaks per day and other than that are expected to stay at your desk) upon which they can be punished. Not a great work life balance--tedious and management does not listen to staff. You are replaceable.

    Advice to Management

    Do formal training with new employees, raise pay, and do not allow incompetent customer service managers that hardly have a handle on the English language despite being from the US continue to bully and belittle employees about BS competencies.

    Lot to learn, good working atmosphere, HR is good.

    Cons

    Salary is moderate, company is very sales driven rather then being product driven.

    Pros

    A lot of good experienced people. Many have been there over 20 years. Strong customer loyalty

    Cons

    Very hierarchical. Culture is not empowering. Pay is not great.

    Seek more input from employees

    Great coworkers. Good products. Great customers.

    out of touch upper management.unrealistic sales goals. Constantly shifting targets.Tooney chiefs not enough Indians

    Pros

    Growing Business, Plenty of Work, pay not bad

    Cons

    Treated like slaves, micro-managed to death, treated like children, claim to be family friendly, NOT in CS Dept at all. no room for growth

    Pros

    Overall great experience with this organization. If you factor PTO, and insurance options, the benefit package is better than most. Sales bonus structure was complicated, but seamed to be fair.

    Cons

    Complicated bonus structure. Communication was slow sometimes from the office to the sales remote sales staff - causing delays to the customer.

    Advice to Management

    I think the Management needs to have a better understanding of the customer. They should "get out in the trenches" once a month. this would allow them to see the strengths/weaknesses of the organization, and how they align with the companies goals.

    I have been working at Häfele (More than a year)

    Pros

    They sell great products and have been in business for 40 years. They are very well known in the industry. They have strong financial backing.

    Cons

    Extremely bad management make the pros listed above intangible for the employee. CEO comes from the uniform rental business, has the charisma of potato, and represents perfectly the concept of the empty suit. He has produced 2 rounds of layoffs so far in 2015 while the competition is bursting at the seams with sales growth. All of the individuals that made the company a success are gone, but a few and has a result the internal functions are running every which way but right. Hence, the growing loss of sales and profit. Many holes in the product offering, and stock outages of product in high demand. Management is desperate and does not know how to manage pricing and use a shot gun price increase approach. Again, more profitable products are out of stock or simply not even offered. More layoffs will be coming as this is their only strategy to deal with the loss of sales and profit. Terrible customer service which starts and ends at the top as it is a depressing atmosphere with extreme negligence in every possible aspect.

    Advice to Management

    I could go on and on with the cons. Management needs to be gutted and strengthened. Laid off employees need to be brought back. This company needs creativity, competence, and confidence which will hurt the bottom line in the short run but this is the cost of long run success. Didn't have to be that way but "it is what it is" as our CEO likes to say.
