HEB always worked with my university schedule. They take care of students and support their needs. It's easy to get along with coworkers and it's a great place to build interpersonal/communication skills.

Cons

Fast paced environment, customers are always supposed to be right which can be stressful sometimes. Depending on the schedule, you may not have enough help with bagging groceries.

Raises start to reduce once you make over mid-point. If manager doesn't approve days off or shift preference, it all goes down hill. Everyone going to want to transfer or quit and a lot of call ins.

This company really loves their employees, and management is always willing to work with your personal needs. Mental health is something this company also really takes into consideration.

One bad manager can really make things difficult, and there are a LOT of ASM's at every location. For every one aggrivating manger there is 10 good ones.
