    Pros

Home every night, off weekends, and only work 4 days a week.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't care about anyone or anything but their paychecks, maintenance on trucks needs major improvements!

    Advice to Management

Learn how to run a co. and treat, pay employees the way they should be treated so that thereally isn't such a high turn over for a 125 yr old co.

    Pros

Stable company, decent pay, general manager is good to work for

    Cons

Terrible senior management. (Regional Manager). The owner and family presents themselves as "Christian" but then allow their regional managers to fire employees without the benefit of even an interview.

    Advice to Management

Let your GM's run the division. You are in a different state and do not know what goes on enough to be in the weeds.

    Pros

Pretty laid back. Coworkers were very friendly.

    Cons

Started out pulling orders for 8 hrs. Then move to 4 10s. Stocking everything until 1 pm, then pulled orders until finished. May not seem unreasonable, but doing 3times the work with no raise in pay.

    Advice to Management

Be more considerate of what you're actually putting on your employees, as well as what you're paying them.

I worked at H.T. Hackney full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Provide transportation most of people were great to work for. You could get time off fairly easily. Family owned business

    Cons

Wages from the 1980's. No chance at promotion or raises. No communications !!! Had to travel 5k to 6k a month !!! No control of schedule to many people telling you what to do lack of communication between people. Sad that this company is ran this way. Lost a lot of business and don't see a chance for them getting anymore with their business development team that they have in place.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees and each other and appreciate the employees that you have and pay them a livable wage

I have been working at H.T. Hackney full-time

    Pros

The employees who have stuck it out and been around a while, know the job and train well.

    Cons

Most underpaying company to work for in the area. Unless you like kissing butt don't expect much in return. It's the only way you get ahead under this General Manager.

    Advice to Management

You need to care more about all of your employees and stop treating them like cattle. Give some of big bonus $$ you get from Bill Sansom every year to your employees wages.
