I have been working at H&H Enterprises full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The management will listen to any solutions or suggestions for improving a work situation. If the idea is not accepted, it is clearly explained so that a better solution can be later formulated and brought to attention.

    Cons

Like all places personalities can conflict although through a mutual understanding of wanting the company to function and make a profit usually all conflicts can be resolved.

    Advice to Management

Continuing to listen to the body of the company is key. Even when there is only so much management can do.

I have been working at H&H Enterprises full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very fast pace challenging job. 40 + hours a week. Full medical and retirement plan plus paid time off. A lot of opportunities to grow and learn new things. Shining stars are recognized.

    Cons

sometimes really long hours and over whelming at times

I have been working at H&H Enterprises full-time

    Pros

I have been in manufacturing for 25 years and have worked for very small companies as well as global sized companies in other countries and I feel this company is a nice middle of the road place to work. With over 200 employees and growing it still has the feel of a small company with an open door policy to management. Sales records are awarded with bonuses and ice cream parties and individual recognition for personal and departmental goals.

    Cons

The only downside I have experienced is with turnover. The Labor pool in Las Vegas can be challenging and having people that truly care about the job they are doing is essential in any business.

I have been working at H&H Enterprises full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Full time status, paid vacation time, health benefits, and holidays off. Most companies in today’s market, do not offer any of these options. Ed Hamilton gives you a chance to make an honest living. Working for H&H Enterprises, I do not need to work 3 jobs, to make ends meet. Ed provides you an opportunity and tools to succeed within the company. H&H Enterprises, has extensive 6-week training session. The management staff is always willing to help, you just need to ask for it. Former employees look for a someone to blame other than themselves. No one is terminated without a just cause. I would recommend a hard-working friend or relative for employment. At the end of the day, this is a business not a social club. You are getting paid because of your talents not by who you can suck up to next.

    Cons

Personal I would like more days off for vacation.

    Advice to Management

Seek good hard-working individuals who have a great track record with former companies. Firer cancerous people from the company.

I worked at H&H Enterprises (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It was a job.

    Cons

They tell you that training is for 6 wks. However, there are no set policies or guidlines and my training was for 8 wks and they tell you that you will receive a pay raise once training is completed. However, they drag their feet because they don't want to give you the raise and come up with once excuse after another. I asked other employees that were there longer. They all say the same thing. Training is terrrible and they try to pawn it off on the new hires instead of the laziness of management. The other thing is, there is mandatory overtime almost every day. If you have something personal happening in your life, don't plan on attending if the day does not go the way you need it to. Most days are 10 hour days or more.

    Advice to Management

Get a training policy set up and enforce it. Don't blame new hires if something goes wrong due to lack of training and management assistance. Find a better way to balance work so employees have a life outside of H&H Enterprises,

I have been working at H&H Enterprises full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free lunch once a month if no one gets hurt, easy to be promoted because of high turnover rate (if you do a good job), lots of good employees. Managers are VERY lenient as will work with you when life gets in the way of work. Will let you leave early or come in late (as long as it's not common) for appointments or such.

    Cons

Also lots of bad employees, upper management is awful, and the owner is a tyrant. Everyone gets scared when he comes into the floor and fears for their job. He definitely pushes his political views in your face during random meetings, makes you put your hands over your head to clap or he'll fire you (had employees hold hands in air for ten minutes one time). Some employees are narcs for no reason (mostly people who've been there forever, so no one likes them). High turnover rate, about as high as a casino's (which I've also worked). If your manager doesn't like you, he'll get you fired. You'll work a LOT of overtime hours. Some employees get away with coming in late or not even showing up, but you can't, even if you've been working there for awhile.

    Advice to Management

Be nicer to your employees, because not only do the bar ones leave. You have some great, hard-working employees you should recognize. Realize some moves are not good for the company or your employees.

    Pros

Air conditioning. The owner has good intentions and will provide the tools for success. There are a few good and competent people there.

    Cons

Bad culture, the top management is back stabbing and will throw anyone under the bus to avoid responsibility for often poor decisions. Worse color management I have ever seen. Critical color jobs often have 4 or 5 different color match samples to run to. Sub par press maintenance. The pressroom is out of control. Unskilled operators in key lead positions. Operators are allowed to berate their manager in front of coworkers with very little consequences. Although the owner states there is only one way to run a printing press, there is no consistancy across equipment or shifts The apes are running the zoo. Incompetent prepress manager with zero problem solving capabilities. No life to work balance. People are made to work 3 or 4 weeks in a row with no time off.

    Advice to Management

Replace top management immediately. Why do you think no one wants to work there? Find someone who is not a back stabber and who takes responsibility for their decisions. Ask the press operators what issues they're having and then come up with a timely solution. Ensure that top management reports all issues to owner and does not hide things.

    Pros

Although the owner is a narcissistic tyrant, the other employees are very nice. Stay away from the long-time few who feed his ego.

    Cons

The micromanager owner screams and spouts obscenities at the staff. He believes he is the only one with the ability to do anything correct. He is extremely demeaning to everyone and doesn't care if it is in public. Even tells employees what they can and cannot eat on business trips because he may not care for an item. Only work here if you want a nightmare life.

    Advice to Management

Go to therapy and find out why you are such a truly despicable person. Treat people the way you would want your wife or children treated. Everyone is important to your success.
