    Pros

Mandatory casses prepared employees well for the upcoming tax year.
Gained experience preparing tax returns with different situations.

    Cons

Too many hours for so little pay and too often no walk-ins but had to stay in office regardless.

They will work around your schedule.
Overall a great company to work for.
    There is room to grow.
    Perks for doing well.
You can make a lot of money in a short amount of time.

    Cons

Since there is no commission the first year, the pay is low.
You must be go getter to build a good clientele base. (Only a con for people who struggle with marketing themselves).

    Advice to Management

    Overall, great place to work.

I have been working at H&R Block full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

don't track vacation; work from home for many roles; generous annual bonus when the company meets goals; opportunities for suite tickets to Royals, Sporting KC, Sprint Center

    Cons

IT is a sweatshop and not treated as a valuable partner by the business; annual incentive can be eliminated by executive leadership whether you meet goals or not based on their personal feelings towards people.

    Advice to Management

stop pursuing "yes men" mentality and partner between IT and business lines; anticipate technology changes in the industry and ride the wave, don't let it land on you.

I have been working at H&R Block part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedules. Typically there isn't a problem with working with your schedule. Resources are really extensive and reliable. Good job to get feet wet in office work.

    Cons

This job is really just a part time. No health plan, no retirement, except for the exception of working many long ridiculous hours in order to qualify for these plans.

    Advice to Management

Amongst office leaders there is too much competition, but local office management isn't really the issue. The issue should be address with the company leaders in higher seats.

    Pros

    Good pay
    Very Easy
    Awesome environment
    Great staff/management

    Cons

They didn't know what they were really doing in the beta stage so it made it difficult to know what to do and find work. This also lead to the directors to close this project/branch

    Advice to Management

Have a better understanding of what the project will look like and the expectations of the employees should be.
