    I worked at H3 Biomedicine full-time

    Pros

Vibrant location in Kendall Square. Nice peers.

    Cons

CSO and followers lack scientific maturity and leadership skills. When data doesn't support the lead hypothesis, it is swept under the rug again and again. Scientists who voice concerns about this are chastised and penalized. Needless to say, many of the best scientists have left and project quality is suffering.

    Advice to Management

Think about what is in the best interest of the company for the long run and make decisions and policy accordingly. Resource the scientifically sound programs rather than pet projects of a favored few.

I have been working at H3 Biomedicine full-time

    Pros

Good salaries, bonuses, benefits, work-life balance.

    Cons

Leadership is lacking in scientific strength and focus. Insecurities of a few leadership members cause them to "push down" and "push out" the best, most productive scientific researchers. Those who remain are too fearful to speak up. "Yes men" have been catapulted into senior positions when they lack the talent, experience, and knowledge to be effective in these positions. People who do as they are told without questioning anything can do extremely well here but independent thinkers should look elsewhere!

    Advice to Management

Respect and engage the scientific talent that remains or the exodus will continue. Make promotions merit based. Let the scientific data drive the decisions rather than the political agendas of a few power-hungry people.

I have been working at H3 Biomedicine (More than a year)

    Pros

Fresh produce is delivered weekly to grab for your lunch box & snacks. Regular happy hours including a beer & wine selection. Weekly yoga class. Lots of small group activities such as softball, basketball, soccer, kickball. Games such as ping pong & xbox Kinect to keep us active. Opportunities for professional growth & improvement due to its small size and collaborative nature. Management is generally as transparent as possible, though the CEO does side-step some questions at townhall meetings. All-in-all an excellent experience.

    Cons

Heavier work load than some would like. When employees complain they are told to manage their time better.
