Haeco Hires Veterans Really??
Jul 31, 2015 - Electrical Tech in Wallburg, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The hourly people that worked for this company. Great people and they are all missed dearly. Location was also a plus as it was close to home.
Cons
Management at the Wallburg location treats their works horrible one in peticular. Had a job offer with another company but was told you gave us two weeks notice and are leaving on great terms if you ever need to come back you will always have a place here. Not true at all. I was told that I am no longer qualified for the job I had two months ago. Also Haeco claims to be a Veteran friendly company. I'm also a disabled Veteran and was told by Haeco management that the only way I would be allowed back and I quote "is if I come back without any bull---- restrictions ordered by the VA doctors for my health" Wow Haeco way to stand behind a vet. Just wish Kevin Carter could see this so he could spend more time at the Wallburg location.

Very friendly atmosphere. Great opportunities to get experience and advance in your career. Lots of great people that are awesome to work with. Good benefits.
Cons
There are some growing pains as the company expands. I would like to see some improvement in the communication of overall goals of the company.

Ok Company
Feb 17, 2021 - Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Greensboro, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They offer good benefits such as medical, dental, life insurance, vision, 20 Days of PTO Per year (which increases the longer youre there), yearly bonuses.
Cons
When you first get your offer they willlow ball yoir worth. They are a cheap maintenance company that charge their customers less and offer them 24hr labor which takes away money from the workers. If you havnt been there for 20+ years you will never have saturday amd sunday off. They have training programs lets say for instance yoir a mechanic with A&P and you wanted to go NDT but didnt have the experience, they will send you through the course in order for you to get certified (this is the same if you are an unlicensed mechanic amd desire to get your A&P). This is great but you cant ever get through to training to even setup a class and you have to have at least 4 people who want that class they wont just teach it to a few people. In other words their training program sucks. HR is terrible when it comes to customer service they will forget to get back with you on more serious terms. As far as maintenance goes when needing appropriate tooling in order to get a job done you may have to go to a different hanger in order to use the tool (thats if no one else is using it already). If they dont look at you and dont see lead potential in you (even if you are the best of all best mechanic) they will give you an average mechanic rating which affects your yearly bonus. They expect hard work for lousy pay. All lines do not necessarily offer overtime (if you wanted overtime you have to work your days off). Hope this was helpful.

Good place to work.
Feb 22, 2021 - A&P Technician in Greensboro, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Overall HAECO is a great place to work. There are plenty of great people there, and if you work hard and do your job correctly you will do very well there. They provide lots of training, Fam courses on Aircraft etc. Some of the best training of any company I've worked for in my 10 years in aviation. There is plenty of room for vertical growth within the company if you want it. They provide pretty decent benefits. The work was interesting and pretty enjoyable for the most part. I likely would have stayed there if it weren't for reasons outside of work that caused me to move.
Cons
Pay. Plain and simple they don't pay nearly as well as other A&P positions in the industry, or really even just in the Greensboro area. It's much better than it was 10 years ago but they still have room to go to be competitive. They have a lot of great mechanics come through their doors but they don't stay long because the pay isn't there. Some aircraft lines were much better to work for than others. I got lucky and landed with a crew that worked great together. Other people were not as lucky and therefore not as happy.

Pros
Its a great place to start out at if you're in school for licensing or former military looking to work commercial aircraft who do not yet have that. Some very skilled, talented coworkers who are wonderful to work with. Some great people solely in that aspect of working there.
Cons
Don't expect compensation for what you deserve. 160 hours PTO sounds great. Until you're burning those days due to lack of work. Until management has no answers when confronted and you're doing interiors/other work outside of the skill you're in the company for. Some leads are incompetent and unfit to be one. You'd find them sleeping or playing on their phone in the flight deck of the aircraft your line is responsible for. The rest of the time, they sit behind their computers giving the presumption they are doing their jobs, but, right there on their phones or flirting with girls walking around trying to do their jobs. Not engaged with the mechanics performing actual work. How some of those guys still have their jobs after being there for many years is crazy. The good ole boy club. You can be trash and survive in this company as long as you're one of them, so that might be another selling point to this place for some. Management doesn't care about the people they have working for them. There is so much disconnect from them to the ones making it happen that'll honestly make you wonder why this company hasn't gone under. No room for growth no matter the schooling/education you have. Don't ever ask about raises or anything else to make you feel valued as an employee, you wont find it from these guys. You'll be fed lines to shut you up. Do the time for experience and go on to the bigger airlines that will have the benefits you deserve and be valued as an employee. Not be a part of a company who is always hiring people, but, yet on the inside, their own is not being taken care of.

Good experience, awful management, worse pay
Oct 28, 2021 - Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Greensboro, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good people to work with and a great place to build experience at the start of your career.
Cons
Management is awful, they truly care nothing about their employees and that's at EVERY level from the leads up to the CEO. There are a few bright spots and exceptions to that rule but sadly there aren't enough to outweigh the toxic leadership. Pay is well below the industry average as well. Younger, less experienced mechanics make just as much if not more than veteran mechanics with years of experience.
