I have been working at HARMAN full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dynamic company with interesting projects and respect for its employees. Pay is good, work atmosphere is great. HR keeps a good work.

    Cons

Some projects are dull form the engineering side. Some people had to do work, that they did not apply for (embedded developer had to program in high level languages or softer tester had to do manual tests). Bad IT. Weak laptops.

    Advice to Management

Keep the good work. Meaby less overtime ;-) , Keep Samsung at bay. Give us a better computer, please?

  4. "Company is good. But Hike and variable pay didn't come yet this year"

I have been working at HARMAN full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1) Good company to work
    2) Good atmosphere and there are employee sales with good discounts on Harman/JBL products
    3) Good reward programs are introduced recently

    Cons

    1) Old employee's salary is not growing as per industry standards. New employees are getting good package easily
    2) Wanted to highlight one thing as we didn't get variable pay and hike this year. It was supposed to come at July . But not yet come. They are saying there is a slight delay and will be paid out with arrears. But its not happened yet. This is happening in Manyata Division @ Bangalore. I am not sure about other divisions
    3) Every year they are changing appraisal cycles. I dont know what is the reason. I am not feeling this as good.
    4) Variable payout is 2 times in a year. This is not good. Quarterly payout is good for employees.

    Advice to Management

Please give good salary hikes to those who are really deserved among the existing old employees. It is not happening. But new guys are getting higher package easily

I have been working at HARMAN full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Under the big umbrella of Harman

    Cons

    Payscales and hikes are laughable.
Managers are themselves not technically sound.
Random projects are assigned to you irrespective of your technical skills.
Even the variable amount which would be promised is broken up into so many hidden components that u get peanuts at the end..!
