    Pros

You can perfectly do timepass and get minimum of 10% hike if you are able to talk back about others and share bad about your team members to manager

    Cons

    Can't improve your knowledge.
    Monotonous work.
If you go out, you will see yourself empty unless otherwise if you are really career oriented and willing to learn technologies

    Advice to Management

Make sure u give proper work to people and be professional and not a chit chat coffee bar to share and annoy on people's personal emotions.

I have been working at HARMAN full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing I have to mention for this company. Fresher can join if they don't any have expectations from his/her first company. Because spikes for hikes and technology is flat.

    Cons

One of the worst IT experience I got in this company. There is no option to give negative rating, So im giving 1 star. Forget about the work they don't have sense how to deal with employees. Nowadays they are selling their name in the name of Samsung. If you really love your job and don't want to deal sudden layoff please avoid this company. A company with dirty politics and annoying higher management. After working for years also you can get sudden call from HR for resignation. One final and most important thing is this review is for Symphony Telca which is acquired by Harman and currently known as Harman Connected Services. My suggestion is not to give much importance to this company.

    Advice to Management

I don't want to give any suggestion they already knows that what has to improve. Its their job to make a healthy and competitive environment in the organisation for betterment of any company.

I worked at HARMAN full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Food coupons, few good people around

    Cons

managers fooling employees. They dont' have good long base project.
They are body shopping now and laying people off in name of cost cutting.
They will push you bench and never intimate you regarding project opportunity, instead they will hire from outside.
harman connected service is pure body shop outsourcing company, please avoid joining. They have sacked me within 6 months of joining (They hired so many of us for bench pool) in name of restructuring. Now i have seen all bench guys asked to let go.
    Very poor hikes.

    Advice to Management

    poor guys never listen.

I worked at HARMAN as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Not a single pro to list... even this website wont let me vote them negatively but I would if I could

    Cons

Work you like a dog (18 hour days in Bangalore, 7 days a week, 12 hour days in Germany 6 days a week) and don't keep their promises to pay up for all the extra hours. The company stinks, will be on the receiving end of my lawyer by end of the week. Stay well clear. For the permanent staff they have ALSO FAILED to keep the promises made to them for a bonus so its not just contractors they lie to

    Advice to Management

    Don't ask me again

    Pros

    Nothing,
Pays well but after joining one understands mistake of joining this company.
Lots of attrition hence it tries to attract talent but cant sustain it.
No respect for workforce and managers as well. Even startups do better.

    Cons

    Mismanagement and lack of direction
Total lack of empathy towards employees.
    Employees treated like slaves.
    No Culture.

    Advice to Management

Stop this nonsense. Please do not ruin career of good people.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at HARMAN full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Brand name : good (international) corporate image

    Cons

    - Work environment
    - Very low added value projects
    - Unorganized / incompetent management
    - Unpolitically correct HR (the HR said once : "We don't need leaders, we need followers" to an interviewee + rudeness in several occasions, especially in a meeting with all company workers)

    Advice to Management

    Management (retail industry) :
    - Micromanagement : waste of time + lack of trust + authority (that's what at least team members get from it)
    - Scope creep : very frequent with the initial time budget : more working hours, more stress (charity to clients = team members pay that) => scope creep needs to be handled carefully and smartly
    - Lack of understanding : the manager doesn't really understand what we do, and doesn't seem to care for his team
    - Very low staff wellbeing / staff morale
    - Lack of effective performance / risk management
    - The manager doesn't know how to push his team forward, how to motivate team members and how to make them committed to the same goals / business perspective
    - Negative behaviour from management = all team members (~12 people) share the same feeling of negativity ==> lack of motivation and of good results

I worked at HARMAN full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ok place for freshouts to learn some engineering concepts. Audio is a fun topic to delve into. DSP is the only "cutting edge" part of the company.

    Cons

Even better place to learn what NOT to do. Desparately needs an upgrade in engineering management and technical competency. Feels like the wheels are ways about to fall off.

    Advice to Management

Your managers are technically incompetent and butt-kissers of their clients and have no real appreciation for the internal resources who get them to their end goals. This is evident in the turnover. Engineers last 1 to 3 years and bail on you, while the PMs are retained for 8 to 15 years. Data speaks wonders, start processing it unless that is thd business model you desire.

    Pros

Frankly i joined this Organization thinking it has a brand nane attached but later I realized that it still hold Symphony teleca policies which are just pathetic. I do not see any Pros to write

    Cons

Worst policies, HR is extremely rude, no proper harassment cell in the organization. Even aftee getting multiple awards here they do not have manners to talk yo their hard working emoloyees.

    Advice to Management

Give some training to your HR employees soecially who are here in this Organization since long as they think they own this Company.
