Pros

Handful of folks who go above and beyond their work to help others. Pretty flexible in terms of working from home.

Cons

1. Firstly, all the “No cons” reviews are by the HR/Ops so don’t believe a word. 2. Founder & MD - Egotistical and quite frankly rude. Every few months talks about being a Unicorn and making employees millionaires. This is FAR from the truth. He rewards people who massage his ego and do what he says. 3. HR - The HR here is a joke , depending on their mood and willingness to do any actual work the “policies” are defined. 4. Engineering is chaotic, where the Management publicly insults senior staff. Some of the new hires are so bad they can’t even speak a sentence of English and some don’t even know how to use JIRA/Confluence ! No coding practices , or any documentation. The expectation is that you just start coding. Attempts to change this culture is met with resistance. Interns are just left to do whatever they want with no guidance. Most of the good techies have left. Final thoughts - Do not be swayed by the hype around "EGSpedia" – it is just an idea that may not take off. This company is not a product company, even though they like to think they are. Join this company if you are content with creating small tools instead of products.

Pros

Late start to the day

Cons

HR: - HR is a joke, there isn't even a standard pay. All they do is try to lowball you as hard as they can. If you apply to this place, don't mention your expected pay. If they offer anything below the median, run as far as you can. It's not worth it. Engineering: - Another joke. As long as they keep hiring cheap labour from god knows where, I don't think this place has a lot of learning opportunities. Heck, I even see interns teaching some of the mid-career transitioners they hire. These are the people who would eventually contribute to the product. Says a lot huh? Management: - The is the biggest joke of all. You see senior management hires in the headlines, but they are nowhere to be seen in the office. The MD talks as if he is the one building. Lofty goals like his belong in the bedroom at night.
