I have been working at HCA Midwest Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The atmosphere is good. The fellow employees are nice to talk to and the Physicians as well as the PAs & NPs are easy to talk to.

    Cons

There is no opportunity or inspiration for growth. As the only RT in a facility, it can get lonely if one does not actively seek social interaction. The manager of the radiology department mainly communicates by e-mail, which is probably better in the long run. The employee surveys have not resulted in the positive changes that they promise.

    Advice to Management

Favoritism is not hidden. Ideas for new ways of doing things are not received well. If management doesnt see how low the morale is, then they just don't want to see it. You have to do more than give quick eye contact when you pass by so quickly. With nowhere to advance or grow, even with small ideas, the Technologist should not look here for professional fulfillment.

I have been working at HCA Midwest Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large organization. Career growth opportunity. Stable and growing.

    Cons

Organization attempts to do too many progressive initiatives at one time. Constant. No work life balance. Onboarding and training were very poor.

    Advice to Management

Improve Onboarding and training (per site). Put more focus on staffing levels. Increase comp rates, lagging in market.

    Pros

Strong corporate leadership in very difficult times. True concern for presence in community.
Desire to serve the best in others and to provide excellence and leadership in the healthcare industry nationwide.

    Cons

Very large company with many risk factors and not enough popular support who understand the challenges of healthcare today.
