I worked at HCL Technologies full-time

    Pros

Except for some of the members of my team, there are no 'Pros'.

    Cons

This was the worst company I've ever worked for! Ever!
Chaos from first day to last. Client so angry, they cancelled the entire project. And I don't blame them.

I have been working at HCL Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

No supervision unless one works in a corporate setting.

Termination is rarely unless the client request budget cuts.

    The medical/dental benefits are excellent.

    Great 401k options.

    Cons

Raises are rarely and when one receives a raise it's not up to standards.

There is no advancement opportunities and once one is locked in a role that isn't management that individual will never advance.

Any possibilities of switching to a new contract or career path is not possible.

The company prides itself about giving the employee the opportunity to chart their careers, but in actuality the employee doesn't have that opportunity as this is merely corporate propaganda.

    Advice to Management

Sr. Management to the CEO should allow their employees the chance to reach their full potential especially when the individual exceeds all annual assessment scores.

    Pros

Benefits were on par with other companies, coworkers were great

    Cons

Pay wasn't the greatest, some managers were aloof, others were micro managers. The company is based in India so getting in touch with payroll or HR could be a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees do their jobs, and pay them better for it.

I have been working at HCL Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

HCL has an incredible benefits package available to Full Time Employees- Full family insurance with the best plan is 164 per month - almost unheard of in value.

    Cons

Internal systems, processes are legacy and homegrown in many cases (HCL is an engineering firm - so this makes sense it would program it's own instead of buying off the shelf), but those are now becoming weaknesses as the company has grown to a global footprint - worldwide standardized tools instead of primarily "India Based" design would benefit for the lucrative delivery regions like North America and EU.

    Advice to Management

Standardize and modernize the internal HR systems - currently many of the systems are non-standard - home-grown or written applications. they do not conform to typical large business in look, feel, language, description, etc. For example - Per Diem in the travel tool is "BMC". Many of hte other categories for basic HR functions are not in a well-organized format.

Rollout of iSuccess has been sloppy over the last 2 years - and it is not being utilized to its full potential for training, HR management.

Claim as one of the top IT Services company with poor top level management. Suck your blood and there are couple of accounts like UBS - they literally put you under the bus - humiliate you in all occasions

    Advice to Management

Change required from top level guy
