I worked at HCSC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Best part of working at HCSC was the fostering of diversity. People of all backgrounds work together in teams to deliver quality products.

    Cons

Teams sometimes act as"Silos" where giving out information is not always forthcoming.

    Advice to Management

Break down the "Silo" walls and encourage people to cross-train and see how to work with others.

I have been working at HCSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nothing I can think of. Employees are treated badly as liabilities.

    Cons

A lot. In previous management 2 years ago employees were assets. Now, outside vendors are assets. Management screwed up when they let all Infrastructure employees go in October 2016 and replaced with Indian vendor HCL. Now, they extended employees as HCL can't understand the technology.

    Advice to Management

Please treat employees as assets. Don't just kick them to save money and fill your deep pockets. It's easily visible that you don't care about the company but only about yourselves.

    Pros

This is a great company that really tries to live its mission and values. Diverse, ethical, and really seems to care about employee value and wellness.

    Cons

Going through a lot of growing pains, have lost money lately due to new markets. HCSC has been very slow to adapt technology and processes. Communication could be improved and senior leadership needs to make more efforts to be aware of what is happening with front-line employees.

    Advice to Management

Consider focus groups with employees of all levels to understand the challenges and come up with solutions to help the company function more smoothly.

I worked at HCSC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I worked for HCSC for 10 years and I had great experience with my team mates and the work I was doing. The company offer flexible work hours in some departments and it's dedicated to improve work-life balance.

    Cons

As in any large corporation, your role is only recognized in the immediate team and management. Too many reorganizations and re-alignments tend to break perfectly functioning teams.

    Pros

most positions are work from home

    Cons

work from home w/HCSC is in it's infancy stage, every minute of your day must be accounted for vs understanding that MOST of your staff are professionals and if their work isn't getting done, you're going to know.

    Advice to Management

The luxury of getting to work from home is not lost of those of us who are serious about our professional careers. We are aware of the expectations.
