    Pros

    Wonderful company with great supervision and management. Great work atmosphere were employees are much like family and I feel that is set by good leadership. Room for advancement if desired.

    Cons

    starting pay could be better however advancement opportunities merit better pay

    Customers like HD Supply and want to deal with them

    Cons

    CEO being investigated by the FBI. Crap falls from the top down. Old Boys Club; people get promoted for the wrong reasons. Regional managers are out of touch with conditions in each market. Changed bonus plan to benefit them. Delusional growth goals especially in property improvement.

    Advice to Management

    Unfortunately management no longer values an employees loyalty, past performance and growth. They care about their own needs which are to provide unreasonable growth and will do so at the expense of good people.

    Pros

    Our customers like to work with us and our company. Like the interaction with them and certain team members that you can depend on.

    Cons

    There have been so many changes in the years. While we are in the business to make money for the company, we fail our customers by having lack of inventory, damaged merchandise(Not caused by drivers) and poor customer service. The persona the company portrays is you have to buy from HDS. Inventory management is horrible, more time is spent trying to substitute items to help our customers complete their work. Benefits used to be exceptional, they are now sub par. Trying to get an answer for an issue is a multiple step process and usually takes to long and the customer is let down. Middle management are micro-managers that are like little puppets, they are running scared at the present time.

    Advice to Management

    Leadership is nonexistent, the leadership team is being replaced once again after driving into the wall by our CEO and others. Were in the customer service business, time to face reality and learn how to run the business. You are driving professional hardworking employees away.

    Pros

    scheduling is nice mon-fri., weekends off. asking for time off is no big deal. benefits are good but a bit on the expensive side. if you can find somewhere less expensive other than going through them for your health, you'll save a lot. the vision and dental are affordable. not sure you can get them without the health though. 401k is matched so whatever you put in the better.

    Cons

    advancement and good raises are all about who you know with in the company, hard work is not noticed or rewarded and you will be working hard, especially if you start in the warehouse...

    Advice to Management

    if your not going to promote the hard workers, at least make sure they are getting and that you are giving them good raises that show them you noticed and appreciate their hard work.
