I worked at HDFC Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fast Paced company. Opportunities for growth. Increases the skills required to get the job done. Experience gained is valuable for future endeavors.

    Cons

No work life balance. Purely a sales oriented approach and the customers and employees are both grilled to increase the sales. Sales target oriented. No holidays. You will have to work on off days frequently. Also, on working days too you end up being in office for 10-14 hours.

    Advice to Management

Should offer better work life balance for the employees. The management is stuffed with too many old fashioned managers. This might lead to lot of dissatisfaction in employees, poor work quality and dent to the bank image.

I worked at HDFC Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good future
    Incentives are good
    Challenging targets.

    Cons

It all depends on the branch manager. If he is good and supportive u can survive or else it is horrible to survive and to work.

    Advice to Management

Please listen and try to solve their problems of lower level employees. Because we are the main employees to bring business to the bank.

I worked at HDFC Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The products are good, so lots of business is generated automatically.
Pioneer in developing products for customers not seen in other banks in India.
Good incentive structure if you achieve above your minimum productivity.

    Cons

Business available across different locations is different, if you are unlucky you might find a location that doesn't have much business potential and targets are hard to achieve.
No defined working hours or holidays. You need to be on job 12-hours a day if you're new here.
A lot depends upon your senior management in here in terms of your portfolio given and achievability of targets.
Most Seniors rule with an iron hand, you have little say mostly.
The overall numbers speak louder than the achievement percentage against targets.
HR, like most places, are not of much help.

    Advice to Management

Needs to be more employee friendly.
A voice to represent the junior management will help.
