    Pros

    Great corporate support, they listen to your concerns, competitive salaries

    Cons

    Too many hours of work, you are expected to work more than 5 days in a row but taking more than 5 days of vacation will turn heads, and not in a positive way

    Advice to Management

    More attention to Work-Life balance, better benefits, more employee events and recognition

    Overwhelming workload due to being understaffed in certain departments.

    Consider hiring more individuals in order to reduce employee turnover, and to distribute work evenly across the board.

    I have been working at HHM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    This company hasn't lost touch with the Guests and Team members; although it has grown tremendously in the last two years. Great company to work for that recognizes hard work, loyalty, integrity and performance. Team members who are accountable to self and others have a home at HERSHA to grow and shine. HHM Value community service and environmental stewardship greatly.

    Cons

    To this point, I do not have any major concerns to address

    Continue to make your employees feel valued and you can't lose!

    I have been working at HHM full-time

    Pros

    Friendly people and it is nice to go into work even if crazy days at hotel. If you work hard there is a chance to move up and learn at most of the hotels. Feels like we are a team.

    Cons

    Understaffed because of turnover too much.

    Try harder to fill positions and keep the good associates.

    A hostile cut-throat environment who would love nothing better than for me to quit rather then report them. Retaliation haven.

    Pros

    - Philadelphia corporate office is awesome, people are friendly and there are free culture events through out the year.
    - Growing hotel portfolio in new markets all across the country.
    - Work load continually evolves as the industry and portfolio changes. Not a place where you can slack off and expect to succeed; need to put in the work to see results and be recognized.

    Cons

    - PTO plan could be better. Low number of days in a year that have to be accrued with a waiting period before you can use is not great compared to other corporate offices. Not much flexibility to work from home.
    - Nothing glaringly bad otherwise. Going to work everyday was enjoyable!
