    Pros

    Our team works together just like a team should. I am always proud to say where I work. My job is challenging but easy, structured but flexible, stressful but exciting. Working here is amazing and I am grateful for all of my colleagues!

    Cons

    You can't go outside to be ocean when it's raining.

    Advice to Management

    Continue encouraging your staff, supporting their successes and assisting when they need a hand.

    I have been working at HHM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great Managers - Fun to work with all the associates within my department, lots of opportunities to grow as HHM is expanding - Good benefits - Awesome food in the cafeteria and it is FREE !!!

    Cons

    HR has an issue in giving out personal information to associates who request it. This includes heath (why they are not here), wage information and find out why some people make more than others especially if they are doing the exact same job.

    Advice to Management

    I have been here for a little over a year and even though I love it here, there is a lot of favoritism in HR the leads to others being promoted and are not qualified or talk to others within their cliche to gain trust and find out information to give to others. Because of this. i am seriously thinking about leaving.. Trusting the assocaites in your HR department is critical.

    Pros

    HHM is a great organization that focuses on employee morale and culture. A growing portfolio of hotels in nearly every major metropolitan city is great when thinking about career growth and just as importantly utilizing our discounted room rate program! :)

    Cons

    To this point, I do not have any major concerns to address.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to invest in your associates happiness!

    Cheap, I don't feel the pay is what it should be in my particular position.

    Pros

    Growing company that treats its employees well. Demanding and performance driven but also likes to reward. Lots of diverse hotels in the portfolio so a place for almost anyone in the hospitality industry. Philly office is amazing!

    Cons

    For me - nothing serious. Enjoy going to work everyday and supporting the field.

    I worked at HHM full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Hersha Hospitality is very caring towards their employees and I enjoyed working for them. The upper management is accessible and is frequently involved with their employees.

    Cons

    I did have a major issue with one of my supervisors, but I have no qualms with Hersha as a whole.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Decent hours, pay is at industry standard, lunches provided by in house kitchen

    Cons

    Benefits can be expensive as well as difficult to understand (tiered program), usual corporate headaches

    Have your in house management touch base with the front line employees.

    Pros

    Sexual harassment from top level. Nepotism. Would fire their grandmother for a dollar. And replace her with the not red head. they have a crush on to maybe have a shot at a conversation with her. Those are the pros.

    Cons

    Cheap dirty no investment into hotels. Drunk regional managers breaking equipment and then blaming employees. Terrible benefits. Terrible work ethic. Look at the people; nobody is healthy in any way. Do some soul searching.

    Advice to Management

    Surrounding yourself by clueless heartless worshipful lackeys with no morale compass has not served you well. Anytime I have seen a quality person put in front of you you have recklessly ruined the person or their length of time within your organization; sell your soul or be sold, so to speak. You won't change tho. So hopefully this warns others from going anywhere near your hotels. And there are certain regionals that you should examine what exactly they have done in your name over the years.

    I worked at HHM full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Senior management cares, really cares about their employees. We had an ice storm one year and I made it all the way from my home to pick up my employee and then to the hotel. In the hotel parking lot I slid and my car slammed into the curb. This caused my tire to be shoved back and I couldn't open the passenger side door or drive it. The VP of my region authorized the hotel to pay to repair my car for me. I have never felt so grateful, appreciated or valued as I did then!

    Cons

    I personally didn't experience anything that was related directly to HHM.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to make your employees feel valued and you can't lose!
