I worked at HOCHTIEF full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Centrally located in Essen, just a few minutes walk from the main station and next to a nice park and theater. Nothing else.

    Cons

Hochtief was a very good company but since the takeover by the Spanish company ACS it has been driven into the ground. The result is - in the Infrastructure division at least - most of the decent people have moved on, and the few that are left are governed by grossly incompetent upper management with a blame culture like I have never witnessed before. They lie through their back teeth to cover their backsides, treat people like idiots and never listen to what anyone has to say. My advise is to steer well clear.

    Advice to Management

    Leave.
