    Pros

I find the benefits to be good. They match on the first 4% of of salary that you put into your 401k. And they match 50% on a family flexible spending account. And they do believe in work/life balance.

    Cons

The cost cutting resulting in budget decreases and staff reductions has been brutal in the US. Conversion to Agile/Scrum/DevOps methodology is slow.

    Pros

Global opportunities, nice people, flexible working for some departments, great benefits

    Cons

Strategy changes often, overbearing process, poor raises when you stay for a long time

    Advice to Management

Lots of redundancies and inefficiencies in process.

    Pros

Large firm, good benefits package. Very stable, job stability very good.

    Cons

Pay is below market average unless you are a MD. Teams are below average, which makes work harder. Especially painful if you worked for other firms before.

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits, compensation, great people to work with, again with my manager I work freely and not micromanaged, great location to work.

    Cons

Systems are out dated. Senior management tries to get you to do multiple peoples jobs for one salary. Good employees get over worked to the core. Bad employees get of the hook

    Advice to Management

Stop assigning other peoples jobs to one person

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Cultural diversity, global, great people.

    Cons

Slow to change. Very siloed. Massive cost cutting measures in place. No stability or long term future with all of the scandals and refusal to make real lasting changes at the top of the food change. Learn what you can and MOVE ON.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your act. Corrupt and inconsistent banking and lending practices (money laundering for drug deala, terrorists and tax evaders), antiquated systems that are incompatible and not trrating your staff right or paying them a decent wage is hurting you.
