Except senior management, the people there are really wonderful nice people to work with. The owners other businesses that HSMC provides services to, provide wonderful health services to children with developmental disabilities or delays, and they are a good cause to get behind and work to aid in.
Micro-managers galore in the senior management. Exempt employees have to punch in and out. Work week is 40 hours but you are expected to bill 50+. They will promise you more help and none will ever be forthcoming.
Advice to Management
The task master whipping the oarsmen approach no longer works in this day and age. You need to start to take a work hard play hard approach and engage your employees, not treat them like children or call them names in front of others.

VP of Finance is extremely difficult to work for HR Director is micro-managed Entire company is micro-managed You can not send out a memo (not kidding) without the approval of Sr Management. Very old fashion company - no flex time, Even exempt employees much punch in/out and all time worked is reported to President
Advice to Management
Get new leadership. Begin to evolve into a participatory company. Stop using parent/child tactics to deal with employees.
