I have been working at HTC Global Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Minority business. Great for India HB1 employees.

    Cons

Very poor benefits, bad management. This place should be you last resort if you want to work in IT. Read the other reviews. They are just terrible.

    Advice to Management

Review your competitors in the business to see where you are lacking, and spread some of that profit to investments with your employees.

I worked at HTC Global Services as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, etc. Flexible hours and holidays.

    Cons

Non-American based company. Doesn't stand behind their employees. Treats employees like mushrooms and not let us know about what is happening with contractual employment, leaves you hanging to the edge of your seat not knowing if you have a job come June of each year.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more American citizens.

I worked at HTC Global Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company sponsors H1B visa for outside candidates in India since they don't have good any talent pool within their company.

    Cons

    1) False promises: HTC recruits candidates by giving lot of false promises for the candidates who are joining. For e.g: they recruit outside candidates saying that they will make you travel immediately. But then, candidates have to wait in Offshore for 2 - 3 years to get some onsite Opportunity.
    2) Labor bond: They normally put labor bond in jobs. Even though, it is not appropriate in US, they are willing to do it.
    3) Zero Quality: It is funny about the type of the projects they handle. Most of the projects are of very low standards. Lot of employees are highly incapable. It is amazing to see the quality of the freshers. They recruit freshers from some unknown colleges, whoever is having arrears, whoever is jobless for many years. They pay them very less, put bond for many years and make them sit at company for many years.
    2) Zero Ethics: This company doesn't have any ethics at all. HRs and Managers are uncultured, they don't know how to treat their fellow employees. They will ask you to pay for H1b application fee: I presume, no good company will do it.
    3) No Brand name: It doesn't have any good brand name. When I got offer letter rolled out, I was literally searching for the existence of the company. No one has heard about it.
    4) No policies are defined in this company. Everything is case to case basis. You have to bargain with HR & Managers for the basic needs.
    5) When you are not satisfied with the company and want to move out. They will be rude and threaten you to pay money, they won't giving relieving letters, won't give good feedback e.t.c
    4) Very low compensation. No performance based bonus. No benefits.

    Advice to Management

Wake up guys. You are in the modern world. Get exposed to outside world. Try to learn from other good employees who join your company. Be motivated and be ambitious. Learn the business ethics. Treat the employees in a fair manner. Implement Open door policy. Grow up: Develop a positive attitude. Employees are not slave for you! Remember that they can also start a company one day, become big personalities.

    Very less client base
They do not lower down their billing if client ask for cost cutting, eventually client will end the project
    No training
Annual appraisal is for name sake only
    No career opportunities

I have been working at HTC Global Services full-time

    Pros

    1. One major client WAS there, but major resources got released from that project as client wants to increase their internal employees. So there is NO Pros/advantages with this consultant.
    2. As other plp mentioned work life balance was there, but there is no projects, then how other things will be there.

    Cons

    1. Management is not capable to forecast resource demand. Means if one opening comes they will NOT judge it is for long term and short term. They simply recruit resource and lay off if he/she get release from that project. It is happening now...
    2. They had one client which was 80% income source, but now client reduce more than 50% of resource. So no major client. Still resources are keep getting release.
    3. Once resource get release from one project, they will not look for another project (because they do not have many opening). They mostly work with C2C basis (there will be another layer b/w client and HTC) except one major which may close by end of this year.
    4. This not service based company and it is purely STAFFING consultant. No body knows what you are in project. All of sudden one day you will get release with 2-5 days of notice.
    5. They will process GC, but you need to be company for that.. You may be released from company if you get release from project.
    6. They will mention around 22 days paid vacation days in offer letter, but that includes around 10days holiday. They will not mention this in offerletter or anywhere and can not come to know before joining.
    7. After joining with HTC, you will loose your technical knowledge/skill definitely as you will same kind of work repeatedly. Not much development/enhancement work...all kind of maintenance work.
    8. If you decided to join with HTC, also be ready to go out of company any time and do NOT have any personal commitments.
    9. There will be lot more issues, i can not mention all... If you have steady job...DO NOT JOIN AND SCREW YOUR LIFE AND CAREER.

I was having good jon..took bad decision and joined with HTC, now going to loose job within couple of months.

    Advice to Management

    1. Try to change policies as company from Consultant
    2. Do take any resources from Tier 1 or 2 companies..Because you will spoil their life and career.
