I have been working at Habitat for Humanity (More than a year)

    Pros

There are few jobs in this world that are as rewarding as helping a family get into or repair a home.

    Cons

Limited funds. Organization could do more if more citizens donated to their program.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to publicize goals for the year and ask companies to sponsor a home.

I worked at Habitat for Humanity part-time

    Pros

Everyone is very friendly, and easy going as soon as you walk in the door someone will most likely say hello to you even if they do not know you. Not many places are like that and really mean it. Here they treat you like family and really honor their volunteers, and others even the customers who are regulars are part of the family. You set when you want to work days, hours and so on. As little as an hour a week or even once a month for an hour to the entire day. So if you are depressed this is the prefect place to lift your out look on life.

    Cons

There are a number of other volunteers who you might not ever run into or work with. Though that can be made up for annual Christmas party, and so forth. Some volunteers love to cook, and they bring in specail treats when ever they want to. There seems to be something to eat almost every week for breaks.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, and lighten up on yourselves a little enjoy life there as well as the volunteers do.

    Pros

It's great to work in a place that helps homeowners improve their homes cheaply, and make money to build Habitat for Humanity Houses. My coworkers are fun people who make the time pass quickly, it seems like everyone there -wants- to be there, which is rare in a workplace.

    Cons

Low wages, but it's a nonprofit.
