Pros
Unbelievable benefits, good pay, health supportive, fully remote work, an extremely dedicated, hard working team. The only job I legitimately enjoyed working for and truly enjoyed every human I met. They take care of their employees the way they take care of customers. Let me tell you, there are no clients, no associates, no partners, no companies, only customers. People are ONLY referred to customers at HackerRank has - This company truly sees everyone as people, not profit. (this is absolutely enforced in the company as part of their ethic, another pro speaking to their commitment to people and work culture).
Cons
The only con is unfortunately the revenue in the company. This is not always the case, but the year I started they had to let several people go. The next year, they had to let more people go. I was one of those people. This is a small team working a large scale. They prides themselves on being customer-focused, to a fault at times.

Pros
Their salary range is decent based on location
Cons
I joined this organization in 2021 when it was at its peak. We had a diverse workforce, great management, opportunities for self improvement and development - however, that environment no longer exists at Hackerrank. Changes in leadership has caused a toxic work environment that doesn’t allow for transparency amongst collaborating teams, there is absolutely no room for growth or personal development… promotions are nonexistent. This place has gone downhill, a once a thriving, diverse work place is now ran by horrible. CEO doesn’t know how to run a business, or speak to employees let alone the customer. If you join this organization, be ready to have slack messages, coming from the CEO, to individual contributor, pass business hours, I’m talking about 10 PM at night asking you remedial questions. Not to mention, the CEO is running everything across the company, customer, communications, product, sales, etc. The product roadmap is never accurate, as an employee you never know when new product is launching. You’re constantly told to push new product features that either are never fully developed or broken upon release. This is such a frustrating place to work avoid by all means.

Pros
- Great people. Everyone is super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile - Fully remote - They provide various types of stipends - 1 time workspace stipend, monthly stipend for you to use on anything and annual learning and development stipend - Open and transparent culture - there are many avenues in which company information and updates are shared
Cons
- Being in a remote environment, the time zone differences can really make you burn out if you let it - Shifting priorities and strategies at times can get overwhelming - 401(k) matching would be nice but all other benefits are great

Pros
The employees (meaning peers) make the time spent working here worth it. The added benefit perks are awesome if you choose to partake. This place used to be such an exciting and innovative place to work....
Cons
Company Goals - No overall plan or focus to propel a tech hiring company that is struggling, given the current hiring environment, to the next level. Zero progression on new products being added to the portfolio. Pricing structures change quite frequently and is still priced quite high for the industry making competitive sales quite difficult without discounting to meet customer budgets and needs. Competition is catching up/evening things out with a market that's becoming quite saturated with no real response from HackerRank to differentiate itself. Company goals change quite literally every month or quarter making it hard to prioritize what to focus on. Personal goals are virtually inexistent. Company moral and cultural is dying. Leadership - CEO and Senior Management has vision and passion, but it feels like there was no real contingency plan for potential hardships that the company may face after the well dries up. Leadership moves too fast without properly considering all angles before mandating change. Senior Leadership is out of touch with current employee job challenges and struggles. They tend to mandate change very fast without thinking things all the way through or with proper resources available to employees that have to see it out. Training - There has been no training for new roles that were mandated recently along with zero continuous training for employees throughout the past (outside of SKO type sessions that happen once a year) which are more high level and not actual training for the job that you are responsible for. Promotions/Raises - HAHA This used to be a huge benefit with annual increases, bonuses and accelerators, now quotas have been unattainable for over a year or two and they pile on multiple people's workloads onto one person without compensation. This is followed with them telling you that if you hit your numbers "it's like getting the raise that you were looking for". Avoid working here and the false promises that upper management makes.

Pros
After 4 years in the HR & Tech industry, I've had the chance to work with some companies that are incredibly forward thinking in their treatment of their employees. This is the first time I've truly felt that my company talks the talk AND walks the walk. Everyone at HackerRank is treated with consideration, respect, and kindness. This type of culture filters downward from leadership and our leadership genuinely cares for our employees, not the "bottom line" which is evident across the board in the culture. HackerRank is innovative, resilient, and constantly in a "learning" mindset.
Cons
As a growing software company, one of the cons that can also be spun into a positive is that it can be a bit difficult to move the ball on bigger projects when handling day to day operations. This however, has always been my experience with tech and startup companies. The pro to this con though is that you are getting surplus experience to add to your personal growth. For me in my role, I would like to be able to implement things that impactful and bigger picture for our organization, but the ability and time I have to complete these items depends on how busy our day-to-day HR operations are.

Pros
- HackerRank has a strong leadership team that uses sound judgement, provides true transparency, and operates with common sense. - Great culture made up of phenomenal individuals who are nice, authentic, and welcoming, but also work hard and want to win. There's a very good balance of empathy and accountability here. - A product and a mission you can believe in because it does what it says it'll do, and it's accelerating the world's innovation by helping companies hire the best tech talent based on candidates' actual skill set
Cons
Like any business, when the market is down (in this case, the hiring market), business gets impacted. Luckily, HackerRank is the founder & leader of the tech assessments space, so it weathers the storm better than any of its competitors.

The product is well-known. Most of the individuals I worked with were exceptional humans.
Cons
Some of upper management had horribly inflated egos. This isn't Amazon.
