I worked at Hain Celestial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well established, many sister companies in their portfolio

    Cons

Job security for newly acquired companies is very precarious. Major cuts were made before they even took time to gain the institutional knowledge of the employees.

I worked at Hain Celestial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most of the products are great. Hain is a leader in the natural and organic space. The pay and benefits were great. Bonus potential seemed good.

    Cons

Working from a remote location, home office, it felt a little isolated from the rest of the teams. More of an account management role rather than a "hunter" sales role. Heavy emphasis on Trade Spend Management which is not a negative, but rather a strong part of the job.

I worked at Hain Celestial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salary was exceptional, above average for the industry. Never at a loss for work to do. I liked my boss.

    Cons

Average length of employment is around 5 years. There are too many SKUS. Very political. Hard to fit in and not treated well by other employees.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better. CEO has huge ego.

I have been working at Hain Celestial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great products, Great people. Good work/life balance. Health Benefits are fine. Good workplace environment, but brought dowm by management inability to motivate and recognize accomplishments.

    Cons

Management doesn't have a clue how to treat top employees. Mostly double digit growth for the past 13 qtrs and hasn't paid out a bonus. Uses the term discretionary as the reason they don't pay out. Lot of good people leaving and expect to see many more as this continues. if you are in sales and want a decent wage but no bonus - be aware.

    Advice to Management

Understand what your teams do to drive the bottom line results and reward them for it. Empty promises will be your downfall

Trapped in the past, technologically speaking. Not always willing to spend on the staffing necessary to fully support a brand.

    Advice to Management

Invest more heavily in people, not trade spending.

    Pros

Understanding management, can surf the net all day in between calls. Good hours and the trainers are willing to help and are great.

    Cons

Lots of favoritism, after your 1 year consider yourself fired. Also don't get pregnant or say you are, as they will fire you almost instantly.

    Advice to Management

Quit playing favorites and you may end up boosting morale, not having to use a temp service, and have quality and efficient employees who may want to stick around.
