I have been working at Hajoca Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits; Work-Life balance, decent pay

    Cons

Unstructured and inconsistent operations between Profit Centers; New showroom concept is really plain-old retail, and compared to the normal showrooms, it's pretty bad; systems are made for warehousing/shipping/receiving, but really bad for transactional operations.

    Advice to Management

Restructure to a central warehousing system, instead of opening multiple different warehouse under different names that markup product to sell it to your OWN COMPANY! The right hand has to pay the left in order to pass something to a customer.

I have been working at Hajoca Corporation full-time

    Pros

Great profit share opportunity. Room to move up in company

    Cons

Long hours and expensive health insurance.

    Advice to Management

Would be nice if they had more affordable health insurance.

I have been working at Hajoca Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very rewarding job with unlimited opportunities.

    Cons

Work force is lean - everyone is required to wear a lot of hats and the job is very demanding.

I have been working at Hajoca Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The management is great. The benefits as far as retirement, 401K and insurance are also good. The pace at which leave time is accrued is hands down the best i have ever been involved in.

    Cons

To make a PCM, the company requires a 4 year degree, so employees with experience in the field and knowledge of the products that are provided are looked over.

    Advice to Management

    See above

I worked at Hajoca Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Profit sharing is the best in the industry if your local boss chooses to give you what you deserve. He alone arbitrarily decides how much profit sharing you get while he could selfishly take 90% of the profit sharing pool for himself.

Have a cheap, foreign made private label (Mainline) that they sell instead of products made in the USA. Able to achieve 60-70% margins with these products.

    Cons

The only thing that matters in this company is what your Wonderlic score is. Managements answer to every problem is that the employee doesn’t have a high enough Wonderlic score, so they obviously aren’t up to the task. It’s selling plumbing material, NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

Upper management in South Central region very unaware of what really goes on day to day inside its stores.

They do not believe in promoting from within at all. They would much rather hire a “manager” straight out of Texas A&M over a Guy with 20 years in and a proven reputation (because the A&M kid scores better on the Wonderlic)

    Advice to Management

Don’t take the regional managers word for it, go look at these stores for yourself. If it wasn’t for Mainline, your company would be mediocre profit margin wise.

I worked at Hajoca Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Had to call home office very little for system support and other issues. Great benefits, reasonable salary

    Cons

Extreme lack of training. Company also is falling behind the times, if you want to work in this field and be stimulated by your work, this isn't the place for you.
