    I have been working at Halk Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Half of the bank is owned by the state so as a state policy, unless you make critical mistakes, you won't be fired. Wages for my position is above market average.

    Cons

    The rate that success is taken into consideration during promotion periods is fairly low. Gossip maybe bothersome.

    Advice to Management

    Bring more healthy promotion system, be more specific about career outlook of employees, stop bringing your past colleagues whenever you get in charge of a department

    They can use interns as a future worker and you should decide a path for inters. They dont know what to learn.

    Pros

    Job security is high. Two months salary bonus per year. Awesome collegaues. Half of personal pension funds are paid by the bank. A long established company, common corporate culture shared accross the organisation.

    Cons

    No meritocracy. Performance measurement does not exist. Lack of expertised senior managers in some areas. Inadequate training opportunities. Sometimes long working hours.

    State owned bank so that you'll never get fired unless you steal

    promotion is not based on what you achieve and do, it is about work years and relationships

    you get extra 2 bonus salary in May
    annual salary is OK
    average age of personnel is a little bit high but now they are trying to lower it with young recruits.

    Cons

    it takes time to advance from being assistant to authorized personnel.
    there are many unqualified managers.
    you have to do many other things in addition to your own job duties.

    i wish they'd afford more opportunity to new recruits.

    good conduct of communication with some divisions of upper management, a rather good prestige as a public bank
