I worked at Halodoc full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People working here are talented and you will get to learn Using the best tech stack available in the market 👍 Flat Hierarchy, leadership is easily accessible You will get a chance to travel to Jakarta🤩 Somewhat competitive salaries Believe in building Quality product People in management are technical so they do understand unexpected downtimes, crashes and keep calm.

    Cons

At times you will find leadership stubborn and won't understand their reasoning behind something Always looking for the best candidate out there but don't offer best salaries so teams are understaffed. Lot of work and you will definitely have to stretch Office space sucks🤮 They Expect quality work in record time, Not possible! Less transparent about promotion and hike with the employee 🙏 No feedback from peers. Trust your employees and make wfh less painful

I worked at Halodoc full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Get to see your work go live . Few peers are good. Purpose of working in healthcare and helping people.

    Cons

This used be a company with high growth, some what trusted employees and good quality work. Since past 6 - 8 months things have gone haywire. Employees are just robots for the management. They don't care about their wellbeing at all. Frequent weekend hiring drives (2 sundays in one month if your are lucky), no benefits , expected to stretch everyday, lengthy debriefs. Architects and some managers are just question banks trying to prove you wrong rather than building a professional conversation. Product team is laid back and so so. After all documentation and review process, very less time remaining for implementation that will end up eating your personal time. There is serious lack of trust between teams all just trying to survive another day and playing blame games. attrition is growing. people say dont burn yourself during corona by over working but message taken by managers is exact opposite. No manager at any level is giving any importance to employee satisfaction. HR team is as if it is non-existent. No steps taken to help the employees at all. inshort join only if you don't have a personal life. else, avoid anyways.

I worked at Halodoc full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some colleagues and peers are really talented and open to helping each other out.

    Cons

    1. The senior management folks are full of themselves. 2. There's no value of your opinions and you're superseded all the time. 3. The HR department is just a puppet and has no active role in addressing employee grievances 4. WFH is not at all an option, because the employees are not trusted 5. The company is an epitome of nepotistic culture - there's an inner fawning circle that is impossible to break. 6. The engineering team works in silos and has absolutely no idea what goes on in the business in Indonesia. You're expected to just nod and work like robots 7. Huge attrition in the engineering team because of all the aforesaid factors 8. Racial/Inappropriate jokes and remarks are not uncommon I can go on, but the gist is that this was the worst company and culture I've ever had to work in. My advice to any prospective employee would be to keep away from this company and save yourself from the inevitable misery and mental stress.

I have been working at Halodoc full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some colleagues (non managers) are really good and helpful, Salary on time .

    Cons

Managers treat employees like a robots they execute a command and everyone has to follow it , SDET work is like a donkeys job keep doing the same thing over and over again , no quality of work long working hours , weekends are slightly relaxed with around 6 -8 hrs working time on weekends . No work life balance , only manual work , multiple managers give multiple deadlines to complete multiple tasks in 2 weeks sprint . Many people have quit around 10 people leaving every month , even contractors are leaving within 2 months now , current team almost everyone is actively looking due to the management . Stress levels high all the time . Pathetic work environment a company solving health problems of Indonesia has forgotten to solve mental health problems of own employees . Advice for people planning to work with halodoc reading this :If you join / interview with halodoc even after reading this then your a fool .

I worked at Halodoc full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent salary but you have to bear the bossy culture ..

    Cons

Tech team is completely bossy oriented environment. Especially Architect(s)/Directors they don't want to do anything except asking the questions .. they are more question banks rather than helping the team to learn or grow hands-on coding wise or design wise..and they want to run company with only college Freshers and Sde-1 s.. no senior engineers beyond Sde-1 are hired in last 8-9 months ..in few teams ..

I worked at Halodoc full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    They have decent funding

    Cons

    1. Rude employee (people at high position enjoy making personal jokes, using abusive and harsh language) 2. No rules and regulation. (What they tell you is exactly different from what they are) 3. HR is a fraud, they just make false promises. 4. You will be expected to work like a machine 24x7 5. Managers here are generally not punctual but they expect that every one else should come to office on time. 6. WFH is a myth. 7. you will not get any paid holidays. Because even on your holidays you will be asked to carry your laptop and work . So basically in Halodoc A leave means work from Home , I repeat in Halodoc A leave means work from home. 8. Promotions ( this is the best part because i think work means nothing to them at the end the one who is favoured by senior management will get it) 9. work-place - Just imagine A shepherd with 100 sheep in 10X10 m hall, cann't say how much chaotic it is. most of the times i had to sit in the common are of the building so that i could work in peace 10. Not enough space for parking your vehicle (not sure about the situation now) 11. Some people from backend team and some who have been here for long are the GODS. They can never be wrong, they can do anything, 12. At last I would just say this place is for soft hearted people.
